    Obama’s influence is weakening.

Obama has never impressed me; he is not intelligent, has little experience except in cleaning up a Chicago apartment project, is afraid to act on supporting his hand-picked Generals, has thrown America under the bus with his white grandmother, his reverend, his psycotic priest, his terrorist friend, Bill Ayers--all of which was reported by the only truthful station in the country years ago-Fox News. Go Fox...

The GOP is struggling with their identity.

They lost New Jersey and Virginia to weak Democrats. New Jersey was not happy with Corzine's Wall Street connection; Virginia had a Democrat who ran away from Obama and health care reform. I think the much more interesting decisions was the much lauded Republican Congressional loss in upstate New York. This is a overwhelmingly strong Republican Congressional District, and the registered Republicans went with the Democrat who supports Obama and the public option over the Palin, Hannity endorsed conservative candidate. Republicans lost big with this one, and no one here even wants to mention it. State elections are far different than national elections. This Republican
rich district rejected the Party of No. Don't be so quick to put Obama and the Democrats away. You might spend more time getting in touch with reality.

Not much – the real test is in 2010.

This guy and his whole crew in D.C (which includes the vast majority of that sack of vestoring manure known as the Hse. of Representatives) have the majority as of this point in time, so the results where to be expected.

The elections in 2010 are the Real Tests!!

I guess the same can be said for George W. and his efforts for McCain. If I remember correctly, Bush knew he would be a detriment and stayed away as much as possible. Palin and Hannity's endorsement certainly helped the conservative in the upstate New York Congressional race. This is a district strongly Republican, and they rejected the conservative for a Democrat who favors the public option and supports Obama. Explain this one. You conservatives do nothing but name calling. Read the comments on here. I don't have to assume anything. There is nothing but racist/bigoted commentary here. Someone on here said we are at war...referring to the Obama Presidency and the Democrats. I agree we are at war, but the majority of Americans are at war with the racism, the bigotry, the homophobia, the greed, the manipulation, the lies, and the hypocrisy which are all creeds of the Republican Party. As you spout such lame machisma, be man enough to recognize who got us into this state of economic disaster and joblessness. If the Republican agenda had been such a economic masterpiece, Republicans would not have lost the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. Maybe, we should give the Wall Street Executives a nice tax cut, which will create jobs, and encourage more growth...WE have heard it for YEARS. It has never and will never work. OPEN YOUR EYES. I read these outrageous comments, and all I can think is: "You can't cure STUPID." There is no rational conversation to be had with you. You are a party of hate, bigotry, and greed. Amazing!

Idol worship alone is no longer enough to pass bills or get people elected as more and more people remain jobless and loose hope.

    Obama’s influence is weakening.

Neither the Dems NOR the Republicans have a clue as to what the people want. And why should they? They don't take their direction from the American people as a whole. They take their direction from the lobbyist firms that get hired by the corporations. After all, the PEOPLE do not pad politicians' war chests for re-election (to ensure they have jobs come next election) - not with the MILLIONS needed for today's type of elections.

    Obama’s influence is weakening.

There should be a choice for all of the above.

Obama certainly didn't help any of the democrats running for office or re-election; however, the ultra liberal stance of most democrats, including amnesty for illegal immigrants & their now obvious efforts to remove restrictions in the healthcare reform bill to allow illegals access to free healthcare once they are here, is killing the dems at the polls.

The American people should not be put on the hook by Congress to provide free to others what we must pay dearly for to have ourselves. The socialist folly doesn't fly in this economy. Voters are looking for pragmatists of whatever political persuasion in order to take our nation back from the brink of disaster. Both parties have been guilty of stupidity beyond belief which resulted in our encomy crashing last year. The democrats just point their fingers across the isle and deny any responsibility themselves. There is a huge movement afoot to vote against all incumbants until Congress gets the message that they don't work for the world population, but for U.S. Citizens.

Obama is still the most dangerous president ever to be elected. In retrospect, one has to wonder how many fraudulent votes were cast to get him elected! Now that election fraud is in the forefront, those voters don't seem to be turning out at the polls anymore.

Obama politics are too far left for me. I am glad that his influence is weakening. His election was an attempt by America's electorate to show that we are capable of electing anyone into our highest national office. Although his administration playing the race card on every turn has guaranteed we will not have another black president for at least 100 years.

Not much – the real test is in 2010.

The working, productive Republicans voted this time, while most lazy Democrats were sitting home waiting for their welfare checks. But in 2010, all those people who want their government handouts to continue will force themselves off their couches and go vote. These people now outnumber us working Republican tax-paying types. I don't really see how Republicans can ever win another meaningful election as the U.S. becomes the "People's Republic of the Obama States"

2010 will show just how knowledgeable and intelligent the american people are. do they really and honestly have a deep feeling and desire for their freedom and liberty as indicated by our founding fathers and the constitution. is it their true wish to give all these freedoms away and to destroy our prosperous and successful capitalistic ways? socialism is not the answer. we the people are!

to anyone that even suggest that this is about race, it is not, it is about the policies of this administration to bankrupt this nation. To saddle my kids, my grandchildren, their children and grandchildren with debt, that can never be repaid and will never decrease the deficit. Anyone with common sense knows which way this country is headed with this administration. You would have to be a moron not to even notice all the jobs losses, the highest unemployment in over 25 years, the takeovers of the car industry, banks, housing, and healthcare. We cannot afford this huge amount of money that this administration wants to spend to have government control. It is all about control.
