What do you think of scouting?

Ironic considering the BSA is trying so hard to keep gay leaders out of the organization. To the sense that kids call scouting gay, I don't think they mean it literally, but as a slur. Again, I find it quite ironic, indeed.

I was a Cub Scout, Webelo, Boy Scout, and Explorer. But ever since they started teaching the Scouts to Hate Gay people it now seems more like the Hitler Youth. Neither one of my kids would have anything to do with scouting because of these sad policies.

our Verison of Girl scouts selling cookies is so much BETTER

The Scouts in my area do not hate gays. If anything its specific parents teaching their kids wrong. The scout troop closest to me (infact the one I went through) had to be and still is one of the most diverse scout troops ever. I would never compare Hitler Youth to Boy Scouts. German Boy scouts during Hitlers take over got in fights with the Hitler Youth that turned into all out street wars.

That was long, long ago. I haven't seen any modern scouts fighting bigotry and hate in the streets.

Jesus (who hung out with 12 guys and never said anything bad about homosexuality), who said that you can increase your chances of being raptured by being gay. (So pray to be gay!)

I don't see them forming rallys to support it either.

my boys were in scouts and I was a Den leader and pledge allegion to the Flag and was fun but now I would be more cautionous with sexual preatures out there I was with my sons I never let them out of my sight over protective mom I even went with my step son wheni married his father !!!!!

Scouting was a good orginization, latley it's all bs these days. I was a scout, and one of my buddies from scouts recently became a scout master. He tells me, It's not the same man it's not the same.

I was in the Scouts and really enjoyed it. For several years I attended Scout camp and it was always the hi light of my summers.

The reason so many have decided that Scouting is now gay is of course related to the organization's beliefs and their refusal to abandon them in the name of political correctness. Make no mistake it is a coordinated effort including many in the media and the hollywood elite.

I would urge anyone who has a son to encourage him to try scouting. For the rest of us, consider making a donation to the BSA to help them develop the programs that will attract boys to a wonderful experience.

It provides a good foundation of social awareness, confidence and self-reliance for young boys....ditto for the girl scouts
