According to this journalist there are nine different groups of people in north america. In the united states a lot of these groups are forced to work together. What this map shows is what the whole continent would look like if they weren't forced together. So if the countries of America and Canada were to fail do you think this is what North America would look like or do you think it would look significantly different from this? Also what kinds of governments could you expect to see in each region? According to this map where do you actually live and do you think you'd like it?

+1I'm in Ecotopia and as for the rest of the map...don't like it.reply -
What don't you like?reply - watusiw... gregory... 2012/08/06 01:56:32
apparently 7/10 of Canada is the 'empty quarter', that's where all our oil, a lot of natural gas, potash and the great wheat fields lie...and ofc TO which is a great city. Why empty quarter?... not real interested in the book already, based on this categorization. Glad to be in Ecotopia though..heeeeeehaaawwreply -
I think they had it like that because of population, I read the description of the book so I thought it was interesting to talk about. It does seem a little uncreative however if it is truly based on population. I would like to think there is significant cultural differences between Nevada and Alberta.reply - watusiw... gregory... 2012/08/06 02:26:30
Actually, it feels better to me, knowing it's on population and not some subjective critique with which I would surely disagree i.e. 'empty'...Calgary is cool, only been to Reno and LV, liked them all.... there are differences for sure; but not all that much really. ...so how's the Ron Paul business going? ..haven't heard much from him lately.reply -
His son is backing Romney, rumor has it Paul is going to endorce Gary Johnson of the libertarian party.reply - watusiw... gregory... 2012/08/06 02:54:10
so you guys actually have a third party running? wow, his son is a turncoat!!!? Don't know this Johnson guy, what do you think of him? I like RP...he spoke sense and he's a doctor...a little old; but would probably have been a breath of fresh air; especially in foreign affairs...my humble Canadian opinion.reply -
Well third parties technically do exist but they are very weak in comparison to the Dems and Reps.reply - watusiw... gregory... 2012/08/06 03:06:51
too bad about that really.reply - watusiw... gregory... 2012/08/06 01:59:14
oops TO is Breadbasket...a little more acceptable, but not a lot.reply - Tee Quake 2012/08/06 01:21:55
+1I think, "here's a clever person who latched onto a way to make a buck by spewing silly, contentious BS that will interest silly contentious people."reply -
So you don't even like the premise of the book this guy wrote in the first place?reply
