Did you know that this planet has the resources and space for 250 Billion people to live in luxury and free from hunger?

Much better that a few of us just keep it all to ourselves....

They had "poorhouses" or "workhouses" back in the glorious days of Victorian Britain. Forced manual labor and corporal punishment.

Just what kind of work do you propose for the elderly, injured, ill and underage persons on welfare?

We're talking about women living off the taxpayer having multiple kids and expecting to be taken care of. These are typically not elderly or injured. Most of the time they're promiscuous and lazy.

You say promiscuous and lazy; I say impoverished, uneducated and lacking in resources.

Call it what you want, but when you sleep around and continue having kids you can't afford expecting somebody else to take care of you I call it promiscuous and lazy.

OK. Now there are less children to feed but how much will it cost of have all the governmnet workers watch hundreds of women take the pill everyday?

No it would have to be through the health department and it would have to be either depo provera or an IUD or something.

Not forced. But we should offer them a one time check for $10,000 to be sterilized. Pretty soon those type of people will have been bred out of our society.

Yes. Many people need help. Some of them give back to society after they get back on thier feet. But alot of people just become a constant drain on society looking for free ride.

I think within a generation or two, alot of our problems would be gone. Maybe even include habitual drug users as well. Soon the drug market would crash do to people would not be producing kids watching their parents do drugs and re-learning the behaviour. Personally, I think we would see a decrease in homosexual behaviour as well because I think that is a learned lifestyle. But that is only MY opinion.

We are on the same page. This compound problem is at the root of nearly all social problems.

Guys, it isn't forced. If they didn't want to do that they could just stop getting welfare. They are getting free money if they have a lot of kids, and that puts us even more on debt and makes taxpayers and less for the people who really need it.

Instead of forcing someone to take birth control. There should be a time limit placed on welfare. 1 year max!!!!

As much as I dislike lifetime welfare abusers, that would be a step toward allowing the government to mandate population control and that is not a slope I care to slide on.

Well This whole situation is so hard... I believe that if you get free stuff and you cannot find a job... Make them clean the city streets, clean the roads, clean the publics restrooms... goverment have so many stuff that they can offer to many of them, now the ones that are really sick, to bad, but many fake it so I would do, spy on them and catch them and them make my determination...
and babies, make them accountables for it... you can take care of your self no kids, if you do, make a plan for thiose who doesn't listen, something got to give

i think a better plan would just put a cap on how many children the welfare program will pay for. that way nobody if forcing them to do anything. they would know full well that if they had anymore kids they would not be covered.

We should not increase their benefits if they choose to have kid after kid while on welfare. They are being irresponsible.
