His real reason is that he doesn't want to give the Democrats, already furious with his wealth from the private sector, any more ammo than they already have. He's already having to fight the fact that he's rich, and that there are people who think this actually disqualifies him from the Presidency. The last thing he needs is some Democratic hack turning some detail of his legal, legitimate (albeit massive) earnings into a huge campaign issue, or at least a huge distraction.

That he pays less taxes than a person making $30,000 a year. Not to mention his off shore accounts. He claimed that he would be running on his principles, Olympic accolades and accomplishments as governor. So far, his principles are different every day, and for the rest of his boasts-the dog ate the Olympic monetary losses stats and he denies that Romney care is ACA's daddy.

He actually is just following Obama's lead and probably figures if it's good enough for him to hold back certain documents - then so can Romney. If you really want to see MORE of his tax returns, then work on getting Obama's school records first. Call it "trickle down disclosure".

It has to be something very controversial like the choices above. 2010 is the only complete return he has shown. Now the time is almost up for the 2011 return extension he applied for.

I really don't care if he discloses his tax returns. I don't care what he did or does with his own money. What I care a lot about is what the government does with my own money -- I don't want any more bailouts, or payoffs to cronies, like Solyndra, or to by union votes and claim it was saving the American auto industry (the truth is the American auto industry is not in Detroit any more -- it is in right to work states). I don't think Romney has any obligation whatsoever to disclose his tax returns -- and if he does, I won't give them a first or second look.
