We have driven away our allies, we have created many new enemies, and have done nothing, but fueled the terrorists fire and done nothing, but made the world a more harmful, and evil place to reside. What will our new president do to restore dignity to the office of the president and clean up our image in the eyes of the world. We are corrupt, money grubbing and play the fool in a cocky manner to all who oppose us. Will we continue to do nothing? will we continue to make enemies? The loss of soldiers lives is it worth this "freedom building" this spread of "democracy"? I don't think so

okay so legalizing marijuana is an issue that has come up quite often lately. But anyone who marks it as the most important issue really does not have their priorities straight. Legalizing marijuana would not help us get out of the war that is risking American lives, it will not help boost the failing economy, and it certainly won't make the world a safer place to be. I support the legalization of marijuana, but it is far from the most important issue.

Energy and the economy. Fact is the two can't be separated. Not just gasoline but other types. Nuclear power for one. obummer er sorry obama said only one thing correctly. There is no way for the prices to come down. Not over night. (I hope someone proves me wrong) We have the liberals to thank for our current problems. To start drilling, construction on new refineries, and nuke facilities. To get all that up and running will take time. That's not including the enviro greenie weenies tying things up in court for years. Got the man of "ahem" change useing the same stupid, brain-dead ignorant argument against taking any steps in securing our own energy supply. Basically the libs think we're the stupid ones for buying this argument. "Hey, ya' know it is gonna take like 5 to 10 years before it starts coming on line and bringing down the cost." So why don't we start now? Hey if the liberals last boy wonder bubba had opened up anwar. We'd have had that oil on line a year or so ago. obama may be right. An awful lot of stupid people in this country. People who will think "If we can't do anything about it right now. Why bother?"

    education

Important issues that threaten our existence as a species and keeping bills and rights that protect us from being harmed, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually renewed and meditated over, so no one in the future will forget and repeat the horrible atrocities our world have committed in the past.

In addition, the reason why I picked education above all the rest is because all others will come from this. When you're educated about your past, present, and future; what's wrong and what right, and learn to make excellent choices over terrible ones, the other problems will be solved more effectually. Where there's knowledge, there's power.

The most important issue is to eliminate the 16th amendment and
the IRS and implement the Fair Tax, a national sales tax. No more tax
day, no more stressing out over doing your taxes, saves $300 billion in
processing returns alone, it's the least expensive means of collecting
taxes, it taxes the underground economy, illegal aliens, drug dealers,
foreign diplomats and tourists etc., taxes consumption and not production,
eliminates political corruption by denying access to the tax lobbyist
and special interest groups, reduces illegal immigration by taxing
illegals and not giving them the prebate check all other US citizens
get every month, reduces cost of goods and services and creates jobs,
reduces or eliminates the foriegn trade deficit and most importantly it
is transparent and puts liberty in the hands of the people who earn the
    $.
We can decide when, where and on what we pay our taxes. It taxes the
    rich
at a higher rate because it is a consumtive tax so whe they buy a new
home or car or yacht they pay a 23% tax on it. At the same time It
    gives the poor
virtually no tax by giving every citizen a prebate check each month up
to the poverty level so necessities are not taxed. Are you kidding me?
    Any
politician that is against it is getting kickbacks from the lobbyist

Even though I am conservative I actually think the country would
be better off spending the billions of drug enforcement $ on other
things or giving it back to the people. My fear is that it would effect
so many people my children would be in danger and it would just make
another addictive drug accessible to more people.

We must stop the private funding of political campaigns and reform the lobby system if we wish to have a voice in any of these issues. All media venues, as a condition of their license to operate, should be required to give equal time to all qualified candidates and all opposing views. Unless we address these issues we can't have a government "by the people, for the people" !
