Shortly
after Barack Obama took office, he set up on what became known as the
"apology" tour. He went from nation to nation telling citizens of those
countries that America had abused its role as world leader. Obama
thought that by shrinking from our greatness, countries would start to
"like" us again. He also said that when he became president, tensions
in the Middle East would ease as well. How's that working out for
everyone?

Back in 2007,
Barack Obama said, "I truly believe that the day I'm inaugurated not
only does the country look at itself differently, but the whole world
looks at America differently."

In that same speech, Obama added this gem:

If I'm reaching out to the Muslim world they understand
that I've lived in a Muslim country, and I may be a Christian, but I
understand their point of view.

Obama then claimed his travels as a youth and his "experience" on the
Senate Foreign Relations Committee (hmmm... about 2 years or less)
would be the recipe for success around the world:

"My sister is half Indonesian. I traveled there all the
way through my college years so I am intimately concerned with what
happens in these countries and the cultures and perspectives these folks
have.

"And these are powerful tools for us to be able to reach out to the
world, and when you combine that with my work on the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee on everything from immigration to issues of
genocide, then I think the world will have confidence that I am
listening to them and that our future and our security is (sic) tied up
with our ability to work with other countries of the world."

And, of course, just like he always does, Obama ended with a dig at President Bush:

"And that will ultimately make us safer. And that's something that this administration [Bush] has failed to understand."

Then, when Obama became president, he went out of his way to tell other countries just how wrong America has been:

The Washington Free Beacon
put an excellent column together when GOP presidential candidate Mitt
Romney was blasted for saying, "I will begin my presidency with a jobs
tour. President Obama began with an apology tour. America, he said, had
dictated to other nations. No Mr. President, America has freed other
nations from dictators." The report points to example after example of
Obama apologizing for American leadership.

But is it working? All one has to do is look at what is happening
around the world, and the easy answer is NO. And there are data to
prove it. The Pew Research Center
conducts a yearly survey of how other countries view America. Just
look how the percentages of citizens who have an unfavorable view of
America have changed from 2008 to 2012:

view america percentages citizens unfavorable view america changed 2008 2012

So, under Obama, relations with the Middle East have not improved.
In fact, now Americans are dead, and violence is erupting all over the
region. But... it's all because of a stupid video, right?

I'm a New Zealander and although I think that Americans can be a bit over the top, what with suing everyone for everything, and with a seemingly inexhaustible amount of crazy people all over the country, I still know a lot of Americans (NZ is full of them) and they're great people and America seems like a really nice country (minus the crazies). And although everyone seems to hate Obama in your country now, I still think that he's one cool guy! No offence. I assume this was an anti Obama poll.
