Obama served in the Illinois Senate and the US Senate. He should have known party ideology would morph into the Obstructionist Party, once known as the GOP in days of old. If Obama said he is all for Mother's Day, the Obstructionist Party would set about to eradicate it.

Of all the things GWB did that were disasters, ( Bush tax cuts, No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part D, the CIA secret prison and torture scandal, etc) the worst is the many billions totally wasted in Iraq Reconstruction. A prison sits half finished yet cost American tax payers 40 million. The U.S. awarded no-bid contracts to companies with little knowledge of the country they were hired to help. Projects were haphazardly planned and poorly executed. $4.9 billion in U.S. taxpayer money later, after promising to improve electricity, Iraqis are sweltering in temperatures that routinely hit 120 degrees . An unfinished slaughterhouse in Basra — price tag $6.6 million — that was undertaken without securing a supply of water to wash away the blood.

Mistake after mistake and Iraq still has its hand out while USA schools and infrastructure are crumbling.

I agree with almost everything you said minus one. Medicare part D. It's a great help.

Bush's initiative in Africa actually was an extremely positive thing in bringing down the death rate due to A.I.D.S. And the surge in Iraq helped to pacify the violence. But he did plenty I did not agree with.

Obama, above all, failed to do what was necessary to get the economy turned around and the unemployment rate down.

Iraq you dare to bring up Iraq , there was no need for the surge if we weren't there to begin with . Africa Bush didn't do a damn thing in Africa. 911 bush in charge 3000 die , Katrina bush in charge thousands left to die , Iraq Bush's Illegal war 5000 dead Americans 200,000 Iraqis dead , yea some record

Oh, I don't think we should have been in Iraq to begin with. But I didn't think the surge would work. It did. And I have to say, 'I was wrong'.

That's not entirely accurate, there were more anti-viral drugs making it's way to Africa due to some of his policies.

Please don't view my acknowledgement of some of his successes as support for his presidency. I just think he did those things 'right'.

And how could he get the economy turned around? Ideas anybody. The house seems to have none of any value. And everything Obama is for republicans turn against even if they sponsered the bill before Obama thought it was a good idea.
