    RED + BLUE = PURPLE
    White makes it lighter.
    LIGHT PURPLE = LAVENDER

Red and Blue = purple ..
the white is added to lighten the effect ...
(Lavender is as close as I'd come to what it is called .. )
Fuschia is more on the red than the blue ...
and pink is red with white ..

Light purple, of course. Now I'm talking about mixing red and blue PAINT. The fuchia color is what you get when you mix red and blue LIGHT. There's a difference.

By the way: what do you get if you mix red, blue and yellow paint? Unrelieved black.

Isn't "blue light" already blue mixed with white?

Not quite. Blue is a pure color, and is a primary color both of light *and* paint.

I was going to say a pale lilac, but lavender is about the same color. Depends on the % of each color as well.

It just makes sense.. I'm assuming you mean color pigments. if you want to know what colors you would yield, think about the rainbow. What color is between red and yellow? Orange. What color is between yellow and blue? Green. What color is between blue and red? Purple.

Therefore, if you mixed red and blue, you would get a dark purple... but if you mixed white paint into it, you would get a light purple or a lavender color!
