I am not speaking of programs that some of us have paid into all our lives such as Social Security & Medicare. I am speaking of food stamps, section8 housing, abuses in the unemployment program, child care, and other abuses

They are economically desirable and morally indispensable.

    Excellent answer B ~!
I'm all for giving people a hand-up, but these unending hand-outs have got to end.
These programs were meant as a safety net....they were never intended to be a flippin' hammock

Social Security was fully paid for by the members and should easily provide the $12K to $26K per party over the entire life but then the government spend the money instead of investing it safely (at a risk-free rate) for the recipients...Medicare can only supplement each member at $5K per year otherwise it is a pure Ponzi scheme...but look at the Public Sector Millionaire Pension scam ...they just tax for their pensions...and give themselves Colas of 4% annually...the fraud is the Public Sector not entitlements...

They never should have been started and have contributed heavily to the laziness in America that has been dragging us down.

The Federal Gov't is broke and should face reforms. Left wingers Barack and Reid will do nothing about any entitlements ever. Elect all Republicans and TEA party candidates and they will reform all these programs.

Juan he like to roll up to the welfare office in his 2012 Cadillac escalade with my 10 kids and a new pair of Jordan’s while looking for handouts oh by the way I can’t afford this escalade or the 50 inch rims on it I get 1500 dollar payday loans every week to try to pay for it.
