If we give up our freedom out of fear our enemies have won. We all need to contact our Representatives and demand our freedoms be restored along with due process and the rule of law. Public law 109-364 needs to be struck down immediately since it allows the President to proclaim an emergency (not specifying what an emergency is) and he can order troops in the US to deal with dissenters-eliminating freedom of speech and lawful assembly. Bush needs to be accountable for violating the constitution and we need to take back our country.

Listen to what republicans say and then watch what they do; it is usually the opposite. Bush/Cheney talk of security being their specialty and what they do well is security for themselves and a few others. Bush/Cheney talk of spreading democracy around the world but run our country like an oligarchy(government/power by a few poeple).

If we keep fearing everything the government wants us to fear just so they can take away our privacy rights....then we have allowed our own fears and insecurities to take away our liberties.

I agree you have to have liberty to have security and security to have liberty

if you choose to focus on fear of everything.. you will loose your mind thinking the whole world is out to 'get cha'. BUT you can only push peoples 'fear' buttons so hard for so long before the button finally quits working at all... ask any scientist.. its been studied for a long time in the lab.


This is why its not good to let your kids watch horror flicks frequently or play violent video games ... they become desensitized to it.

Looks like mabey corporate america sold their way into whole generation of kids that arent too scared of very much. lol... kinda ironic.
