First Oil, Now Bombs: All Sorts Of Cool Stuff Washing Up On Alabama Beaches

Nothing like a little explosive WW2 diversion washing up to take away the attention from the latest outpouring of tarball love courtesy of British Petroleum. WKRG reports that a bomb was found on Orange Beach in Alabama. "The device is disk-shaped and about 3 feet wide and appears to weigh about 500 lbs. It was found in the surfline. Crews have cordoned off about 30 yards of beach with construction fence. Authorities believe it might be an old World War II shell of some sort." Surely, this is one of the key upside catalysts sought for by all BP value investors.

A scary day for beachgoers in Orange Beach after an explosive device is found near Perdido Pass.

Lt. Steve Brown with Orange Beach Police tells News 5 that the device appears to be an underwater bomb. It was found on the east side of the Perdido Pass near the jetties. Orange Beach Police and Fire are on the scene.

A bomb squad from NAS Pensacola is enroute to the scene. We hope to have more information for News 5 at Noon.

Maybe it was part of the explosive devices used to blow up the BP rig in the first place. I would check to see if Obama's prints are on it

QUESTION: WHY would ODAMBYA WANT to BLOCK anyone from "helping" clean up the spill & GO TO SUCH EFFORTS TO BLOCK ANYONE FROM APPROACHING THIS SITE? COULD THERE BE SOMETHING ELSE THERE THAT IS BEING HIDDEN? Could the prevention of any common folk/reporters approaching the spill site be to avoid divulging information about HOW THE SPILL OCCURRED, or OR or - could it be all this to cover up something else even? WELCOME ANY & ALL REPSONSES TO THIS SINCERE & HONEST QUESTION!

Hmmm, what a big freaking coincidence! This bomb is ---- [1] a bomb intended to aid in the BP oil explosion or [2] a big fat red herring to get focus off of this huge oil economic disaster.

Well they were chained or cabled to a weight on the bottom of the ocean,so if it rusted through pretty good,but it`s amazing no ship hit it while it was floating.

LOL! I find that hard to believe!
Laying on the oceans floor for how many years? And it just so happens to wash up on shore now? Kind of a farce don't you think? Specially 500 pounds worth! Give me a break.
I am thinking more along the lines of a stunt pulled by the liberal loons to take the attention off of the oil flowing into the waters then anything else.
That is just how the loons do things!!!
And then they block you! LOL!

If my brother is telling the, (and I have no reason to not believe him) there is still a lot of that old stuff around. While he was in the service he helped move a lot of that to under ground bunkers.
I believe this to be an attention deterrent.
