No, they were wrong! How could God be “barbaric”? Yahweh endorsed slavery & polygamy, and Mormons were entitled to religious freedoms. An entire social & economic system was built on slavery; those who imposed their moral values on others were fanatics

When the infidel, Lincoln, ended slavery in the Bible Belt 147 years ago, Yahweh was 2,800 years old, the Christian idolatry was 1,800 years old, and Allah was 1,350. Why did the Abrahamic idolatries endorse the horrific crime of slavery for so long?

    Polygamy is not wrong. Permanent slavery and slavery based on race are wrong, but slavery for a period of time as punishment for very bad crimes is okay.

    They lived in a different era and a different paradigm, They wouldn't recognize today's world and probably couldn't deal with it. That doesn't mean we shouldn't learn from them just that we shouldn't try to be them.

    If you want to fight slavery, then be against class war too. The average U.S. American works more than a month longer to pay off taxes than did feudal surfs. To be against class war one needs to understand two things -- our present political-economic structure and financialization (putting profit and leverage above all else to the point of sabotaging entire economic systems and countries) and its predictive damages. Presently, our hierarchy is actually top down starting with the fantastically rich that control banks, then banks, federal government, state and local governments. That's our present structure. Between it and financialization, the dysfunction becomes cannibalistic in nature while the super rich somehow get richer.



    As for polygamy, most people are referring to sexist, abusive, polygyny (the practice of one man taking multiple wives, specifically). While that is the more common form of plural marriage, it's not the only form of plural marriage and not all forms of plural marriage and sexist.     Well, it seems that some that follow a religion seem to be like slaves themselves. Wasn't there a quote from a church viewing free thinkers as negative? Why do these worshipers have to this totem pole-like philosophy? "Obey this (person or deity), you must".

    YAHWEH never endorsed slavery, He was speaking that if you except JESUS as your ADONAI (LORD) and SAVIOUR that your actions would lead the master to salvation if that ;person was under slavery! Just because many of the early Israelities had many wives did not make it right, they suffered their consequences also! If people think that was slavery look at the federal reserve and how it has made the so called American citizen a slave to the financial system! The taxes set on peoples property, I do not see this in the orginal intent of the US Constutition? The government is always putting more laws that put you in a box and take your freedoms away, and it is an incrementaliism to slavery, very soon you are going to be put in FEMA camps (georgia guide stone, agenda 21 etc.)

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church with the complete message from God. The Book of Mormon was given to Joseph Smith by the angel Moroni, who helped translate it. Where it contradicts the Old Testament, the Book of Mormon is correct, there are errors in the Old Testament due to it being transcribed so many times by so many people, but the Book of Mormon is free of errors. That Mormons are the chosen people of God was shown when God saved us from the crickets by sending seagulls to save us in the middle of the desert. All gentiles (non-Mormons) need to accept God's message given in the Book of Mormon.

    Mormons do not drink, smoke, do drugs or overeat. So a Mormon husband can take care of three or four wives as well as a drunken, overweight gentile can service one.

    Mormons are a heretical cult worshiping false gods. Polygamy and racism are not the reasons why we should oppose Mormon proselytizing, these can be defended biblically. But their false teachings condemn them.

    Joseph Smith was a prophet, he gave us the true religion of Jesus Christ after the apostates of Rome lost it by absorbing Pagan beliefs and practices. Find the truth of the Book of Mormon before you make such fun of it.
