Actress Laura Linney tried to prop up Barack Obama by diminishing the role of our Founding Fathers with her sly remark at the Emmy Awards. Didn't she watch the made-for-TV movie she starred in?

Linney, who played Adams' wife and confidante Abigail, could not resist a political barb after collecting her prize.

Linney said the mini-series was a tribute to "the great community organizers that helped form our country", a clear reference to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, a former community organizer.

Later, Linney took aim at Republican critics of Obama who have mocked his former work as a community organizer.

"I just have the most tremendous respect for anyone who serves their community," Linney said. "Our founding fathers were community organizers. And that is fact to me. And I feel that has been disparaged.

And the Founding Fathers were not Community organizers. They were brave men of honor that is not seen a lot today and almost non existent in the politicians of today who are mostly traitors to the United States. How any citizen of the US could support either Obama or McCain is just an example of the duming down that has taken place. I mean they both just voted to steal almost 1 Trillion dollars from the taxpaying citizens, which I have heard amounts to over $400,000 per person.

Left with these 2 choices ? .....Free to choose from 2 candidates that are selected as appropriate selections , by whom ? .... I thought this was a nation that had freedom to vote for whomever one wished to represent them. .... Obviously I thought wrong ...The founders are probably rolling in their graves knowing that the freedoms they fought and died for have been transformed into the charade that's presented today as freedom.

I'd say if they did not hold an official office and dedicated themselves to working with people to make their community and country a better place then definitely yes, they were community organizers. Community organizers have been some of the pillars of our country since the very beginning.
There were people then that turned their elitist noses up toward these good men, I guess that hasn't changed either in the last 200 years.

Leftists will stoop to anything to rationalize voting for Obama. Don't delude yourself or others. Obama is no George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. He couldn't hold a candle to them.

Obama worked as a lawyer for ACORN to protect them and their voter fraud. He pressured politicians to getting free handouts and welfare. Hamilton would probably kill Obama in a duel if he had the chance.

The majority of the "founding fathers" were bootleggers!! They didn't want to pay the taxes that they brought upon themselves and they refused the representation that Parliment offered them and decided to go to war with the greatest military in the world (at the time). I'm not saying that I'd have any other way, I'm just saying that the rose colored glasses that Americans have put on need to come off! No one is perfect and that includes our founding fathers.

Ray, It was ok for the founding fathers to have scandel and dirt on their hands. Jefferson, Washington and Abraham had slaves, but they also saw them of pillars of the COMMUNITY.

When anyone becomes involved in their community, finds ways to help and does it, what a better way to show a true concern not only for your community but for your fellow man? If your calling is to help with the well being of your community and its residents, wouldn't the world could be a better place? Having a limited perspective, not only cuts you off from others, but rhinoplasty could be your only option.
Accepting people for what and who they are is our duty as American citizens.

This community organizer issue should have died a thousand deaths by now. Obama did a great thing as a community organizer. Our country was not founded by community organizers. And as noble as the role of a community organizer is... IT DOES NOT QUALIFY SOMEBODY FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Done... why do we continue the volley?
