    I agree with several commentators: "he cheats a laundromat out of a dime and gets fired nearly 50yrs later and his bosses cheat millions out of money more recently and get bonuses."

    Seems unfair, but banks 'helped' write the new law(s) ... maybe they had 'something like this' in mind ... let's not forget -- politicians are 'bought and paid for' (by Big Money)

    Stupid.

    The FDIC exists to protect our money from people who could actually harm us -- people with authority and power. A minor employee man who was convicted of a dumb petty crime nearly 50 years ago and has had a spotless since shouldn't be caught in this net.

    if the FDIC was stupid enough (government agency stupid? Say it isn't so!) to enact guidelines with no Statute of Limitations or specifications about what kind of employees they apply to, etc., the FDIC needs to fire its lawyers and hire some with working brains.
