We should have a requirement that polling places accept valid student IDs on equal terms with any government-issued ID. Agree? or Disagree? and Why?

    Disagree.

It may very well be that some States inappropriately allow certain of their IDs to be used in polling places. If so, we should solve that problem, not exacerbate it by tossing student IDs into the mix.. The only State IDs that should be accepted as identification at polling places, with very few exceptions, are photo IDs whose issuance is maintained under reasonavle security conditions. In that context not all Staye IDs are created equal, why are we creating a situation where the "worst" student ID is entitled to be equated to the "best" government ID. Many "Student IDs" are not issued by the entity at which the holder alleges attendance, e.g., department store discount IDs, on-line student membership clubs, Bar IDs. The discussion of this topic requires consideration of a lot more "ground rules" than the thread intro contemplates.

As long as they're legally registered to vote that should be fine.

It could be utilized as a form of ID. Whatever you need to provide, to purchase a gun, should be enough!

It all has to do with keeping those who may vote Democrat from voting. This republican party would NOT be able to win if they didn't shut down votes from the other side.

As far as I'm concerned, the cat is officially out of the bag. It's not really voter suppression....IT'S DEMOCRATIC VOTER RESTRICTION!!

Considering NRA membership cards are considered valid and student IDs invalid in a few states it is clear this isn't about protecting the vote but rather electoral gamesmanship.
