I'm not sure if "mistake" is the right word. I think G.W. decided to go right in fully intending to get Saddam for threats he had made against George H. W. Bush in the Desert Storm war. It was also a mistake because I believe we knew they didn't have "weapons of mass destruction" and used it as an excuse. Lying to the United Nations blew any credibility we still had.
And now, after ten years and thousands of American deaths and casualties as well as tens of thousands of Iraqi deaths, and a bill that would choke a horse, what have we got to show for it. Iraq is still a turbulent and divided country. They are fighting among themselves and there is civil disorder everywhere. Can we really say we helped these people? They were better off with Saddam even if he was an iron fist. At least he kept order even if it was only from fear.

I think Marco Rubeo is terrific.At least he can think and talk at the same time,so if he becomes VP candidate I will vote for the brains for the future and hope we can trust Romney?
Flying the flag, holding your heart, supporting the troops, all that outward appearance of patriotism is for the little people. Meanwhile the global corporations will spend money to manipulate the election process and keep their profits hidden or overseas to prevent Uncle Sam for getting a share. Now this latest guy is running around trying to convince people that he has all the answers because he made a great deal of money. Not exactly building companies and creating jobs. He made it moving paper and investments around. I think of the movie Pretty Woman and how the guy was actually so rich. Wheeling and dealing that's how. Clever, yes, able to run a country, not so fast fellow.
Bush was wrong to invade Irag..Obama outlined his global prospects in Audacity of Hope but few bothered to read it.He is naive or plottingl I don't know which but he can't get the mess fixed.He doesn't like our country.I think Rubeo is amazing,thus far,but have to read his book and learn more.We are in trouble guys and almost 1/2 of Miss America contestants didn't know who the vice president is..Holy Molly!!! I hope you aren't labelling me a hypocrite because I think Iraq was a mistake. As far as I'm concerned, any woman in the WORLD who isn't prepared to fight sharia tooth and nail deserves whatever might happen to her. Men too, but women especially -- that is one sick system. And I will defend MY country from it every way I can. But I don't believe it's my country's privilege, duty, or right to save the rest of the world according to our definitions of "how things should be."
