Was Rush Limbaugh right in bad-mouthing our troops?

His own party won't back his bad-mouthing the U.S. Troops.

Rush Hudson Limbaugh III is an American conservative radio talk show host and political commentator. He recently referred to our surviving troops as "phony soldiers" because they happened to oppose the war in Iraq. Do you support his statements?

Well, first of all, Rush never bad mouthed our troops. get you facts right. He was talking about Jesse MacBeth who claimes he was an Army Ranger in Iraq and witnessed our troops killing and hanging women and children. This idiot Jesse MacBeth is a "PHONEY SOLDIER" MacBeth only spent 44 days in boot camp. He couldn't handle it so the military booted him out. MacBeth never has been in Iraq. And these stupid ass Democrats consider this ASSHOLE as a hero for speaking out about what is going on in Iraq. MacBeth never was in Iraq and never got a purple heart.

Second, why isn't the democrats getting on Moveon.com case for smearing a 4 star generial by calling him a Liar and saying he has betrayed us? And why aren't the getting on John Kerry for telling everyone that the troops are going into houses in the dead of night and terrorizing women and children. And there is Harry Ried who is calling Rush unpatriotic. He needs to look at himself as being unpatriotic. In January as the surge was just begining he announced that the war is lost the surge is not working. And the surge hasn't even got started yet. Ried already calling for a defeat in Iraq. 9 months later it is proven that the surge is working and General Putraus has given his report about how the surge is working. There is also...

I listen to Rush Limbaugh everyday and I know what he was talking about. He was talking about Jesse MacBeth and people who claims that they were soldiers in Iraq and lie about the troops killing innocent people and being caliming to be eyewitnesses of all this and never even set foot in Iraq or being in the military. Stop going to Moveon.com and get your facts straight you damn left wing moron.

I find it hard to believe that R Limbaugh would "bad mouth" troops serving in our nation's defense. If the information you provided is correct then of course I condemn his comments. Those serving our nation are heroes whether they be on the battlefield or not.

I agree with you. There were a number of reasons that made sense to the Bush administration. None of them had to do with 9/11 but everything to do with oil, the military industrial complex & of course $$$ to fatten certain sectors bank accounts.

I am no fan of Limbaugh's.... But I did google up this issue and saw the video of Limbaugh making point regarding the "poseur" Jesse MacBeth...and during that video Limbaugh did not say anything negative or derogatory about our troops in any fashion.

He did however point out the the "poseur" MacBeth...was sentenced to jail and probation for having lied on VA paperwork and apparently falsifying discharge documents.

until your in the mud and the blood with bullets flying all around you, it's better to keep your mouth shut about the business of soldiering. I admire and respect our troops not because they believe in war, but because they believe it is the greater good and the path to freedom. no one wants to put their life on the line, neither a police officer, fireman, or soldier can do their job without the real possibility of dying, whats important is.... is the cause worth the risk. when I did dive rescue, we didn't risk our lives doing body recoveries, but if the possiblility of saving a life was evident. we didn't even consider personal risk. that is the way of the soldier too. and though we may not like the war. we need to love the soldier.

I dont have time. But i listen to Sirius 144, 3 to 6 hours a day. I listen to Mark Levin and Andrew Wilkow. I consider them to be great americans that champion logical thought. Rush likes to showboat a little much.

LOL, He screams at idiots on his show ill grant you that. But they line up for it daily. He is also one of the sharpest experts on constitutional government. Served on Regans staff and has written "Men in Black" and "Liberty and Tyranny" both NY Times Best Sellers. Wonder why his audiance beats all lib broadcasters combined? He has a 3 hour show 5 days a week and nobody is tired of him yet! His audiance grows constantly.

Could be why he's known as "The Great One". Research him more....its fact.

No thanks , like I said he gets on my nerves ..... when I listen to the radio I want to listen to something nice and easy . Oldies but Goodies is what I like !! After a hard day I sure as hell can't face someone screaming and yelling like they are off their rocker --he actually sounds like Groucho Marx on the radio .
