Of course it's a waste of money. Especially when taxes are going up from the most in the industrial world. It's much easier to do that stuff anywhere than here.

His green thing may have been profitable for the company but the Chevy volt has cost a lot of people a lot of money.
The son-in-law of one of our neighbors, a true liberal, bought a Chevy Volt, dispite warnings for friends, because "Barack said that going green would save the United States money"....3 weeks after he bought this god cursed thing and all the goodies that go with it...the charger over heated shorted out and burnt half his house...
Presently he has a law suit against General Motors but his attorney says it will be years before it will be settled if at all.
SO MUCH FOR OBAMA AND HIS GREEN CRAP.

And who says it's not profitable to have friends in high places?

If by that phrase, you mean "the fraudulent funneling of hundreds of millions, possibly billions, of taxpayer dollars to Democrat fundraisers and supporters", then yes, THAT policy was a waste of taxpayer money.
