I really miss the days when reporters would actually ask our royalty tough questions!

NOT! Reporting is when you report on what happened. Because this WAS heckling, the heckler BECAME the story, when other REAL reporters, reported his outrageous behavior. I don't mind aggressive reporting, but that happens AFTER the President has had his say, and it's time for questions. This guy was boorish and disrepectful of OUR President, yours and mine, and all Americans, conservative, liberal and moderate should decry the disrespect shown to our top elected official.

Obama needs to man up. I know he's not used to getting any flak from the sycophantic Old Media but at the end of the day the country has much bigger problems than Obama's bruised ego, massive as it might be.

Had to choose one - but it's NOT reporting. Being questioned - even "aggressively questioned" is NOT the same as totally disrespecting the President of the United States. Interrupting the president's speech in the Rose Garden is unprecedented. Don't even try to say that it isn't. Everyone knows better. But some reason, the Right has decided that it is okay to disrespect this president - and we're not talking about lunatic spectators - there are those in both left and right. We are talking about people who are supposed to know better - Congressmen (You lie Joe Wilson), News Reporters, etc. It is totally unacceptable, embarrassing, and is showing that America is becoming less than "exceptional".

The Right Wing reporter is now making excuses for his dispicable behavior that has even been criticized by the Right Wing hero Bill O'Reilly. Even HE knows when the line is crossed - sometimes.

The guy thought the Dear Leader was finished and wanted to be the first to get a question
in. He didn't mean to disturb Big O's self-aggrandizement.

That's his excuse NOW - after he's been spanked even by Right Wing reporters.

Obummer acts as if he were the sole ruler of America. He needs to rein that S##t in a touch....... It's gonna be a long time with out being President that he's gonna have to put up with these next hundred years or so..... I hope Michelle can help......

I say that of we'd seen much more of this BEFORE he was elected, we wouldn't even be talking about this now. It's about time!!

It's called heckling, and even most "real" conservative reporters were embarrassed by the heckler's actions.

Bill O'Reilly said it wasn't the right thing to do...that even if you don't like the man, always have respect for the office. Not only are conservatives losing respect for the office, they're losing respect for themselves.

Apparently the heckler thought Obama's speech was ended, but how much brains and common sense does it take to wait a few extra seconds, just to make sure?

Obviously more brains and common sense than the heckler had.

Hopefully the heckler will be banned for the next few WH Press-related get togethers, until he can at least promise that he's old enough to understand the difference between a pause and the end of a speech. I suggest he count to 10 each time...that way he'll be more on track with the trained professionals surrounding him.

BTW...the author of this post has put some old pictures of past Republican presidents talking in front of groups, but unfortunately she hasn't supplied any video so we could see for ourselves if anyone did actually interrupt them. Putting up still images doesn't tell us anything, other than the fact the presidents spoke at one time in front of people. A very weak argument, isn't it?

Show us some videos, please, so we can see for ourselves if the presidents were indeed interrupted in front of the groups you show.

You'd just deny they were true. You don't want to believe that it happened.

If you want to see them, look for Sam Donaldson interrupting Reagan... at every news conference.

Donaldson never interrupted Reagan during a speech...he waited with the rest of the reporters for the Q&A period...then, appropriately, he was aggressive.

Neither were on the White House grounds, which is a controlled environment, at an event solely for reporters and neither have a reporter heckling them...just the audience!

Find me one video, (just one!) of a reporter heckling a Republican President, within the confines of the White House grounds, when the President was actually speaking, and all other reporters were quiet...that's proof!

LOL...no one's denying that people in general, at rallies, at fund raisers, at a local deli, haven't heckled presidents, both Democratic and Republican.

No one has ever heckled a President before, on the grounds of the White House, while a President was giving a speech to a closed audience, when it was not a Q&A period.

Heckling is called reporting???? Wow what will the right wing come up with next. I watched that video, and anybody with a half of brain would call that heckling. Oops did I say anyone with a half of brain?? I forgot I'm talking about right wingers!! Anyway no one has ever interrupted a president during a speech. Now the right wingers have tried to make the excuse that Republican presidents have had hard questions asked of them, and we all know right wingers do not like hard questions. That's why they all go on Fox, where they get marshmallow questions. But anyway even with the hard questions the Republican presidents were not interrupted mid speech!!!

No matter how it is sliced and diced - it was inappropriate to interrupt the president while he was giving an address. It was wrong in the past and it is still wrong.

Now the righteous indignation from the left is just plain silly - the right learned from them and, in my opinion, should unlearn it. Just because they are classless disrespectful butt munches does not mean the right to pattern their behavior to them

The more interesting side of all this was that Reagan responded with grace and dignity and obama was angry. Nice tantrum barack hussein. Never question or back a narcissist into a corner......

If Obama can't take some hard quesitons then step down. God forbid anyone should interrupt His Highness when he is reading from his teleprompter.

You have to interrupt if you want to ask a question otherwise he just makes speeches and never gets questioned. IT IS TIME SOMEONE QUESTIONED HIM. Bloody Liar!
