No question that it was involved. The new Egyptian president, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, has been making demands that the U.S. turn the "Blind Sheik" over to Egypt, and the Obama administration has been equivocal in its responses, e.g. "there are no plans" to turn him over. There is also the fact that Egypt reportedly had three days warning of the "spontaneous" uprising and failed to do anything to prevent it..

Note that the article said "in order to save Barack Obama's presidency." Do we want a president that our implacable enemies want to remain in power? Do we want a guy who promised another enemy, Russia, he will have even more "flexibility" in negotiating away our anti-missile defenses? Not me!

That was very surprising but also encouraging.

The Arab world is a lot like the American west, during settlement times. Very wild and very little law, but the people took itupon themselves to establish order, and met out justice. Arabs need to do the same, without checking with the mullahs first.

No -- a similar vein of "logic" was run by a Pornistani mullah earlier today about "insults to Islam" which set off more violence, a stretch of logic by which Pornistan's entire history from 1947/08/14 would be in response to such "insults" (translation: revealing the truth about the goonda-founded cult)!

That might have been part of it, but not that alone. It seems that the main reason was 9/11, and the barbarians were just waiting for that anniversary to, once again, show their hatred for the U.S., and spread their message through senseless ,and violent, acts around the world. And still we send them precious tax dollars......GO FIGURE!!!!

Yes and a little no. Yes in that Egypt has made the demands and no in that Libya is the current hotbed for Al Queda and they want what the whack-a-doodle brother of today's Al Queda leader wants him released among other demands.
Osama bin Laden was the spiritual and financial leader of Al Qaeda. Ayman al Zawahiri is the tactical and operational leader of Al Qaeda. He is the Egyptian doctor who was behind the assassination of Anwar Sadat among numerous other crimes. His brother, Mohammed al Zawahiri, was featured in a YouTube video released on September 10 with his famous Al Qaeda brother. Now he is leading the violence in Cairo.

Obama was contacted with threats demanding his release, but its just a gnat bite for the real reasons behind the attacks! If Obama gives in and releases him then he is bowing down to Al-Qaeda!
