  This is an interesting story. A lot of the conviction that Obama was born in Kenya came from Obama himself and an early biographer who wrote that he was born in Kenya. I suspect that Obama, like all of us, wanted to have a "schtick", that was interesting. Certainly being born in Hawaii, a place 99% of us view as an idyllic paradise, is not very compelling and doesn't give any "street-cred". But, being from a background of British imperialism and racist policies makes things interesting.
  
  So, yeah, I am sure that he was born in Hawaii, went to upper class private schooling with the rich folk, and wanted to make himself some man of the people persona.
  
  I do the same thing. Born in Durango and raised in SE Ohio, I like to call myself Hispanic or from poor white trash Appalachia. Like Elizabeth Warren wanting to have some claim to be Indian while making no attempts at living a native American existence.

  Yep, they have admitted it was an error. A publishing company's booklet is not an official document regarding somebody's birth, I dont think anyone would consider using a literary agent's booklet to apply for a social security card or a passport. Or to run for President.

  I really don't know anymore....too much of a cover up as far as I'm concerned, I have my original....I would like to see his.....even in his own books, the time line does not make sense or when he took foreign-aid to go to college?   Yes, Hawaii became a state in 1959 and Barack Obama was born there, according to all the official records, on August 14, 1961. John McCain was born in Panama to American parents and is also considered a US citizen. Actually I could care less where he was born. The right man came along at the right time and that is all that matters. Like Churchill during WW11 not the right man for the job unless they were at war.

  Like any liberal I think he was born wherever it happens to benefit him at the time he claims to be born somewhere. Apparently at Harvard it benefitted him to be born in Kenya. Also one Harvard professor claimed to be native American Indian. If the profs do it why not the students.

  This is like a problem that occurred in Texas about 100 years ago. There were two circusses that made the claim that they had the head of PANCHO VILLA. So they went to court. And this was the judge's decission. HEAD#1 was the head of P.V. when he was younger, and HEAD#2 was the head of PV when he was older. Every body went home happy.
