All we know is , after being told to ' stand down, an armed Zimmerman decided to exit his vehicle with his gun. What was going through Martin's head as he was being approached? What was said? Was he afraid? Angry because he wasn't bothering anyone and Barney Fife wanted answers? We'll never know because he is dead. The only story we get is from Zimmerman, supposedly afraid for his life although he outweighs Martin by 100 pounds and had a gun.
we dont know yet if zimmereman will spend the rest of his life in prison or not, and given the overcrowding, I'd say he'll be out in few years with good behavior, and thats if he's found guilty.
Neither is following someone and possessing a gun at the same time against the law.
There may very well be evidence that the prosecution has that makes them sure they can get a 2nd degree murder charge to stick.
But, it won't be from "following".
And that is regardless of the FACT that 911 dispatch explicitly stated, "you do not need to do that", to Zimmerman after Zimmerman confirmes he WAS following Martin.
But, there is no evidence been revealed to the PUBLIC as of YET that Zimmerman was carrying a gun simultaneously while he was FOLLOWING Martin.
