President Obama unilaterally decided to stop enforcing immigration laws by offering some illegal aliens legal status. These newly classified workers can now challenge Americans for jobs in a time of high unemployment. Illegal immigration activists laud the decision, but Obama also created many critics as the Washington Post writes:
But opponents of illegal immigration warned that the policy could create significant new competition for jobs and university slots at a time of nationwide recession and numerous states’ efforts to curb public spending.
“Half of our college graduates today can’t find jobs, and the unemployment rate for high-school-aged Americans is extremely high. This is unfair to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants who are out there struggling to get ahead," said Brad Botwin, president of Help Save Maryland.
The Washington Post article also suggests that the new policy increases administration and enforcement costs.
The Washington Post reports:Immigrant advocates cheer offering legal status to some undocumented immigrants under 30 as a watershed, but opponents fear it could create significant new competition for jobs.

Duh. Any increase in an already over-saturated labor market merely drives down demand even more.

Thats the whole point of corporatist monopolies and outsourcing, competitive labor, now to just eliminate that pesky federal minimum wage law, EPA and OSHA regulations, the corporate coffers can also be filled with the coins saved spent of trans Pacific and Atlantic shipping, wiping out another costly shipping and dock workers unionized labor industry.

So now outsourcing jobs to foreign labor markets is considered briliant? Most people I know think it is unpatriotic and hurts our job market and economy considerably, more so than migrant workers here in our own country.

Giving jobs to ILLEGALS before our own citizens is borderline treasonous.
