President Obama unilaterally decided to stop enforcing immigration laws by offering some illegal aliens legal status. These newly classified workers can now challenge Americans for jobs in a time of high unemployment. Illegal immigration activists laud the decision, but Obama also created many critics as the Washington Post writes:
“Half of our college graduates today can’t find jobs, and the unemployment rate for high-school-aged Americans is extremely high. This is unfair to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants who are out there struggling to get ahead," said Brad Botwin, president of Help Save Maryland.
The Washington Post article also suggests that the new policy increases administration and enforcement costs.
The Washington Post reports:

But opponents of illegal immigration warned that the policy could create significant new competition for jobs and university slots at a time of nationwide recession and numerous states’ efforts to curb public spending.

It's outrageous, enraging, and dangerous.

Yeah, no American wants stupid construction jobs these days... they can't speak spanish.
Amnesty was not given, the current administration just announced they will not be prosecuting any of these cases. My opinion is that it was a bold move by Obama faced with a Congress that refuses to act. There is much misinformation about the topic, most of it propaganda supporting or against designed to influence the public more than inform them.
The whole issue has too many racial implications, and potentially dangerous results for a politician on the wrong side of the issue with elections coming up.
Some of you might want to read this article presented by Proud Prgressive on this same topic.

Most of the arguments we hear will be nothing more than hyped garbage. Effect it has on most of us will be minimal. Places where it is a large issue, is where it should be dealt with locally, State or even Municipally.
Between all of our elected representatives, they could have given these people work permits which would have made a lot more sense, but when have we seen intelligence in DC?

This Fraud-Us is a power hungry dictator hell bent on getting re-elected by garnering illegals' votes while demolishing our rights with blatant disregard and respect for our Constitution. Enough. The usurping O must go. Simple.
1: The obvious one; illegals taking jobs that citizens need.
2: Employers are afraid to employ. They are afraid of accidentally employing an illegal alien.
