I have pre-existing conditions. I busted my ass working my way through college and i was able to find affordable insurance before all this obamacare crap started. I have also worked in the insurance industry. This is going to kill the small local small town and regional insurance companies. And have you seen all the doctors taking early retirment and quiting? They are not doing it for the heck of it.

It won't be long before the federal government remembers that the STATES formed the FED to SERVE the STATES and not vice-versa.
I'm of the mind that Justice Roberts designated the 'penalty' as a tax so as to open up all the rights the people have to challenge it legally. He may very well be playing chess to everyone else's checkers.

Florida is not alone, New Jersey, Texas, and I think Louisiana have opted out and before it's all over I'm sure there will be others

Good for Florida. Each State opting out would certainly send a message. I am going to write Bentley today.

If we can get ALL the states and territories to opt out, there will be no need to repeal it. It will be D.O.A.

What a steaming crock. We really want to go back to insurance companies excluding all preexisting conditions, cancelling long-time policy holders when they suddenly fall ill and desperately need insurance. This is what the GOP want's to protect? Corporate profits trump people in the GOP fantasy world.

You really want to pay those taxes? BIGGEST TAX INCREASE IN THE HISTORY OF THE USA!!! Obama finally admitted it. THAT is the steaming CROCK!!!

If insurance companies could cross state lines to sell their products, rates would go down, way down. You can purchase insurance for preexisting conditions. Do you really want the government in charge of this or any aspect of your life?

Yes sir, please render unto me said insurance policy, for I have just wrecked mine carriage.
'Insurance' is to prepare for what MAY happen, not for what HAS happened.

Florida is the first I've heard of doing this, and i Will be writting my Reps Today! To Insist that Our State do the same, We cannot afford this new tax, nor can we afford anymore interference in our Healthcare system! It is boondoggled enough without MORE gov control or input! Patients need to be able to rely on an intimate relationship and treatment plan with "Their" Doctors, and Should have the ability to choose which HCI provider is best for them, Not have it so limited that they have to choose among undesirable options!

"Obamacare can only increase third party interference in the doctor-patient relationship, increase costs, and reduce the quality of care. Only free market medicine can restore the critical independence of doctors, reduce costs through real competition and price sensitivity, and eliminate enormous paperwork burdens. Americans will opt out of Obamacare with or without Congress, but we can seize the opportunity today by crafting the legal framework to allow them to do so" ~~RP~~

Louisiana, Virginia, Arizona, and I believe Texas, and probably New Jersey have opted out, also. Bobby Jindal, La. told Obama to stick it up his ass. I guess that would be opting out!!!

Obama care is already hurting jobs as I have listen to many small companies telling us they can not afford to risk hiring anyone at this time until they actually know the impact of the law.

Florida is smart as they opt out of the new health care bill. The SCOTSU made the statement that this is the largest tax increase on the American people in history. If the bill was so good why did Sen. Kennedy run out and draft a bill that would exempt congress and others from it?

why would healthcare reform be a destroyer??? I think it's you mal and the right-wingers who are destroyers - haven't done a damn thing for the country or it's citizens since you've been in office - other than wars and as a result, debt and recession plus unaffordable tax giveaways and deals for investments bankers and other wealthy gougers, limits on civil liberties for females, gays and immigrants - why in the hell would any one support those elists, do-nothing, obstructionists, the repubs teapartiers and right-wingers????

" “We already have trillion-dollar federal deficits. Who’s going to pay for this unbelievable expansion? As the Supreme Court said, this is a significant tax. This is one of the biggest tax increases in the history of our country. Everyone is going to have to pay for this."

    'nough said.

Do you even know why you say REPEAL healthcare reform??? Is it because you are anti-obama and he supports reform? Don't get why any american wouldn't want healtcare reform - we've all been bitching about it forever and now that a move to improve has happened, you're still bitching...

Hey dummy, Obama is not about helping the little guy with acquiring health-care. The only persons he ever helps are those that help him achieve more power and control over his realm. This debacle they dumped on us not health-care reform, it's the world's biggest tax placed on an already struggling economy. In its present form it will remove more of our freedoms and collapse our country. To me, now that's something to bitch about.

    ouch
