VP Joe Biden in Wytheville, VA

Mopeder 2012/08/15 13:59:38

"We don't have to imagine anymore. The details are there. Here's what Congressman Ryan said. He said, 'We believe a renewed commitment to limited government will unshackle our economy.' The Speaker of the House said, used the word 'unshackled' as well, referring to their proposals. The last time these guys unshackled the economy, to use their term, they put the middle class in shackles. That's how we got where we are.

Nine million jobs lost. Wage stagnation. 16 trillion dollars in wealth you all lost in your home equity, in your 401Ks and your pension plans. You're the ones that got nailed. All of America, except the very few.

And I'm told that when I made that comment earlier today in Danville, Virginia, the Romney campaign put out a tweet. You know, tweets these days? Put out a tweet, went on the airwaves saying, 'Biden, he's outrageous in saying that,' I think I said instead of 'unshackled,' 'unchained.' 'Outrageous to say that.' That's what we had. I'm using their own words. I got a message for them. If you want to know what's outrageous, it's their policies and the effects of their policies on middle class America. That's what's outrageous.

I think it's outrageous to continue to give companies tax breaks to outsource rather than tax breaks to in-source. To make massive cuts in education, massive cuts in college aid, massive cuts in Medicaid, throwing 19 million people off -- who desperately need healthcare -- off of Medicare, including 1 million seniors. How many of you know somebody in a home right now who is getting extended care. Eight will get you 10, they're there because they have Medicaid. What happens when they do this? That's outrageous. You want to know what's outrageous. Massive changes. Massive cuts to Social Security for future generations. That's the hard proposal."

Why is it the Republicans always seem to get a free ride on hitting below the belt (because that's all they ever do), yet if a Democrat even makes the slightest bit of an attempt at it it's all over the mainstream news as a low blow?

It never ceases to amaze me how these Repugnant Republican politicians will take their one line snippets to rain down fire & brimstone on the Obama/Biden campaign.

The evidence is oh so clear. Governor Robmey won't run on his political bona fides because of Robmeycare. So he uses his "business" experience since Repugnicans love vultures. Pick the dead meat off the bones of what used to be the middle & working class.

What does Paul Ryan bring to the table? Push granny over the cliff cuz them vouchers sure ain't gonna go far in the private insurance market after they kill Robmeycare for all Americans. Let's not forget that Repugnicans don't consider healthcare a right. They may preach "Repeal & replace" but those words mean as much as their battle cry in 2010 of "Jobs jobs jobs." Hey Mr. Boehner, where are those jobs? Every woman in America will tell you there are no jobs in their uterus.

Robmey should be as honest and brave being transparent with is past business actions, policies, financial impact on the middle class and his taxes, as he expects from immigrants, the elderly and the poor.

Quite ironic for Romney and other Repugs to be outraged at Biden when during the GOP primaries Newt and others dog whistled racism all through the Southern states where racists abound, and it was why Newt won SC. Hmm, see many or rather any African Americans at Republican rallies now? Here are some sweet whites at Glen Beck's Restore our Honor Rally in 2010.

No body remembers what they say, but Biden is just as well liked as Obama. The first problem with Robmey and the Alter Boy is that they're universally disliked. You can't tell people your silly little rules don't count, and your health care is a scam, and expect many votes.

9 million jobs lost by a democratic president, who caused the wage stagnation, the pension plan failures and 401ks. Bring real change for America, go for some R & R and leave the democrat's plantation Joe knows so much about.

Don't need to bud, walk out on the street and you see it all around. Turn on the news and 17 million are talked about. Go to RCP and check out the reports.

I've checked out "the reports" which is why I'm asking you to prove your assertions that 9 million jobs were lost under Obama.

That's not the case according to the DOL or the BOL.

Where are you drawing your numbers from? They're wrong.

17 million Unemployed doesn't mean they all lost their jobs under Obama. You care to conflate more issues that I have to sort out for you?

4 million jobs were lost after Obama took office. If you'd like to argue otherwise, you need proof of that claim.

Otherwise, you're lying, and I've exposed you for it.

SO, what you're saying is you can't read? Nowhere in what you've provided me does it say that 9 million jobs were lost under Obama. NOWHERE.

Neither does it support your 17 million number.

Actually there's no mention of that either.

So, either you're lying or you can't read. Take a pick.

You are merely proving you choose to ignore facts and make stuff up to believe just so what you believe matches your preconceived notions. Typical Right-wingeyr with NO concept of truth or how to recognize it when you see it.

I do not lie, you have exposed nothing, and my contention is utterly valid. I simply know talking to a liberal this will turn into: I deny your reports...responded to with well yours are wrong. I was going to save your time and mine since we know what I posted is true, genuine and real, there is no refuting it so we will debate sources.

Indeed, I did expose your ability to comprehend what you read. You can't.

9 million jobs weren't lost under Obama, and your link doesn't assert that they were, either.

Congratulations on your patient persistence, but you'll not get any actual truth out of that guy. He obviously does not know what truth is. You do. All you can do is try to comfort yourself with that knowledge. It IS scary to think someone as absolutely and proudly wrong as he is has a vote just like sensible people do. However, that's how our system works. We get the government we deserve, because we elect it.

Wage stagnation started under Raygun. Pension plan failures were a casualty of laissez faire economics--W's "Let the market fix it" mindset. Republicans have been the grim reaper when it comes to America's economic woes & Democrats have been cleaning up their elephant poop for over a century.
