VOTING RECAP > If 9/11 Victims Were Hacked, Would Fox News Be Finished?

Phone hacking?
We thought that only happened in John Grisham novels, or old episodes of "Hawaii 5-0."
Who would have thought that such a quaint spying technique would be the possible undoing of one of the richest and most powerful men alive? With accusations flying that Rupert Murdoch's tabloid The News of the World is responsible for hacking everyone from celebrities to murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, reporters have begun theorizing that if it comes to light that 9/11 victims were involved in the scandal it would be curtains for Murdoch's Fox News as well. SodaHead voted passionately on this possibility, and here's how the results currently stand:
NO WAY will that bring down Fox News.
It's not even close: Only 29% of you think that Fox News would be decimated by a 9/11-related hacking revelation. Seventeen percent remain unsure, while a whopping 54% feel confident the media giant could weather the storm.
Let's take a closer look at some other compelling stats:
• It's perhaps unsurprising that 86% of Conservatives and 89% of very conservative voters think Fox News would remain unscathed. What's intriguing is that Liberals don't seem to feel as strongly in the opposite direction: only 42% of Liberal and 50% of very liberal voters think that a 9/11 hack would destroy Murdoch's American stronghold. So either Liberals aren't giving much credence to the allegations, or they simply believe Murdoch to be the indestructible evil genius they've always known he was.
• Women aged 13-17 voted "No Way" a mere 29% of the time, a distant second from the next closest age range to vote similarly (18-24 year old men, 57%). Are young girls simply so pure of heart that they can't conceive of such a heinous act going unpunished? This demands further investigation.
• Great Britain isn't feeling too confident in Rupert these days: a hefty 44% of British voters voted "Fox News wouldn't survive the scandal" as opposed to 28% in the U.S.
Perhaps when you witness the demise of a 168-year-old newspaper seemingly overnight it's not too difficult to imagine a 14-year-old television network dropping off the face of the Earth.
Judging by your written opinions, one topic voters continue to debate is Fox News' legitimacy as a news organization. What do you think, SodaHead? Is it a beacon of truth or a den of deception? We reported, now we'll let you decide...

No bad news or controversy about any progressive or liberal. Most of their points are boring and protectionism for the left.
Fox talking points are almost all about controversy and how this government and past left of center governments (Demo's) are taking away our rights and act like they (this U.S. Gov.) are scared of the further.
Maybe that's why Fox has more Cable News Viewers than all the MSM Cable News put together.
Key word is “Cable News”.
Is that a good thing or bad thing?
Myself: I’m afraid of the further with this liberal (now extreme) left-wing government.
I don’t think they are for the American people at ALL! They want as much power as they can get.
When did 58% of the American people degrade to this “Nanny State” mentality?
The end of last week saw some terrible news when it was revealed that Rebekah Brooks, Murdoch's favored employee, was giving phones to the mums and families of abducted children with the promise of help and support from News Corp. But, the phone given to Sara Payne's mum, it appears, was set up so that it would be easy for Murdoch's employee's to hack her messages and to get the contact numbers of everyone who called in or were called on the phone. This is a new low even for a Murdoch Minion.
Piers Morgan is in the hotseat. He has been screaming bloody murder that he never was involved in phone hacking while he worked in the London Press. He swears he knows nothing about it...but, in an interview years ago he discussed a message Paul McCartney had left for Heather Mills--he even knew what song Paul sang to her. He said he listened to a tape of the message. A message that Mills say was hacked.
I would bet money that if Piers Morgan lived in the UK right now the police would be booking him. Especially since BBC just broke a story that Morgan's newspaper was invoiced 230 times in two years by one of the investigators known to have been hacking.

Big Story here: Murdoch's long-time managing editor (this guy knows every skeleton in every closet)was arrested. Many uppity-ups left NewsCorp since this story started getting out of control in the past two years. This guy had quit his job but it is still a big blow to Murdoch. Almost all of his most trusted employees have been arrested.

BBC is also reporting that the head of the Scottish govt. and Murdoch were on a first name basis and met repeatedly. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-... (don't forget, Murdoch's paper was doing the same things in Scotland (were Andy Coulson swore in court there was no hacking--he'll go to jail for that probably).

Last I heard Rupert Murdoch's corporation owns Sodahead and judging from the right - wing slant of most of the subjects that Sodahead corporate brings up, it comes as no surprise.
Fox is a propaganda channel, when our country wakes up, Fox will die and not until then.
