VOTING RECAP > If 9/11 Victims Were Hacked, Would Fox News Be Finished?

SodaHead Analysis 2011/07/21 21:12:52
Phone hacking?

We thought that only happened in John Grisham novels, or old episodes of "Hawaii 5-0."

Who would have thought that such a quaint spying technique would be the possible undoing of one of the richest and most powerful men alive? With accusations flying that Rupert Murdoch's tabloid The News of the World is responsible for hacking everyone from celebrities to murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, reporters have begun theorizing that if it comes to light that 9/11 victims were involved in the scandal it would be curtains for Murdoch's Fox News as well. SodaHead voted passionately on this possibility, and here's how the results currently stand:

NO WAY will that bring down Fox News.

It's not even close: Only 29% of you think that Fox News would be decimated by a 9/11-related hacking revelation. Seventeen percent remain unsure, while a whopping 54% feel confident the media giant could weather the storm.

Let's take a closer look at some other compelling stats:

• It's perhaps unsurprising that 86% of Conservatives and 89% of very conservative voters think Fox News would remain unscathed. What's intriguing is that Liberals don't seem to feel as strongly in the opposite direction: only 42% of Liberal and 50% of very liberal voters think that a 9/11 hack would destroy Murdoch's American stronghold. So either Liberals aren't giving much credence to the allegations, or they simply believe Murdoch to be the indestructible evil genius they've always known he was.

• Women aged 13-17 voted "No Way" a mere 29% of the time, a distant second from the next closest age range to vote similarly (18-24 year old men, 57%). Are young girls simply so pure of heart that they can't conceive of such a heinous act going unpunished? This demands further investigation.

• Great Britain isn't feeling too confident in Rupert these days: a hefty 44% of British voters voted "Fox News wouldn't survive the scandal" as opposed to 28% in the U.S.

Perhaps when you witness the demise of a 168-year-old newspaper seemingly overnight it's not too difficult to imagine a 14-year-old television network dropping off the face of the Earth.

Judging by your written opinions, one topic voters continue to debate is Fox News' legitimacy as a news organization. What do you think, SodaHead? Is it a beacon of truth or a den of deception? We reported, now we'll let you decide...

You!

It's really strange; every time I turn on MSM and watch, then switch over to Fox from time to time the difference in each MSM and their talking points is exactly the same.

No bad news or controversy about any progressive or liberal. Most of their points are boring and protectionism for the left.

Fox talking points are almost all about controversy and how this government and past left of center governments (Demo's) are taking away our rights and act like they (this U.S. Gov.) are scared of the further.

Maybe that's why Fox has more Cable News Viewers than all the MSM Cable News put together.

    Key word is “Cable News”.

Is that a good thing or bad thing?

Myself: I’m afraid of the further with this liberal (now extreme) left-wing government.
I don’t think they are for the American people at ALL! They want as much power as they can get.

When did 58% of the American people degrade to this “Nanny State” mentality?

It is wishful thinking on the part of those on the left that Fox News would go away. The left currently has all of the broadcast news and two of the three cable news companies tied up and actively in its corner (as well as virtually every major city newspaper), even though only around 20% of Americans self-identify as "liberals." They would love nothing more than for Fox news to go away and give them free-rein in propagandizing the population.

No, the public rationalizes the behavior of the jackals that control us. Fox's sheep will remain loyal to FOX saying, "at least it's better than the others" and followers of the other stations of the MSM do the same despite the fact ALL of them are corrupt, treasonous propaganda machines. Why wouldn't they be? So is our government.

Murdoch Minion arrested-Piers Morgan is in the hot Hot HOT seat-Today's hacking headlines

The end of last week saw some terrible news when it was revealed that Rebekah Brooks, Murdoch's favored employee, was giving phones to the mums and families of abducted children with the promise of help and support from News Corp. But, the phone given to Sara Payne's mum, it appears, was set up so that it would be easy for Murdoch's employee's to hack her messages and to get the contact numbers of everyone who called in or were called on the phone. This is a new low even for a Murdoch Minion.

Piers Morgan is in the hotseat. He has been screaming bloody murder that he never was involved in phone hacking while he worked in the London Press. He swears he knows nothing about it...but, in an interview years ago he discussed a message Paul McCartney had left for Heather Mills--he even knew what song Paul sang to her. He said he listened to a tape of the message. A message that Mills say was hacked.

I would bet money that if Piers Morgan lived in the UK right now the police would be booking him. Especially since BBC just broke a story that Morgan's newspaper was invoiced 230 times in two years by one of the investigators known to have been hacking.

Big Story here: Murdoch's long-time managing editor (this guy knows every skeleton in every closet)was arrested. Almost all of his most trusted employees have been arrested.

I agree that the SodaJerks now in charge of SodaHeadless Headlines are going on a downward spiral toward mediocrity. No more downraves. Political Correct slapdowns of answers and Questions. Liberal Progressive bias openly displayed for all to see. Hiring Hacks for writers and reviewers. I wrote a great review of Real Steel recommending people to kidnap their neighbor's kids to go see the movie to get the full effect. They buried my post and their own review when it turned out to be so horribly wrong and inaccurate. By the way Real Steel is still in movie theaters as we speak and still punching out a great story about the direction that boxing is heading towards. It has actual choreagraphed boxing moves by the boxing Great himself, Sugar Ray Leonard, as the boxing consultant for the film. It's a great film and i still recommend seeing it. I even took my own advice and kidnpapped a neighbor's kid, my son's best friend, to go see the movie for my second and third time. real steel

What is that garbage graphic above? Why are young girls compared to men in anything? Who cares about Brits think about Fox News? What does the guy falling into the handheld mean? We all know that conservatives breath their thinking life from Fox, so why is it news that they should think Fox will survive this?

Last I heard Rupert Murdoch's corporation owns Sodahead and judging from the right - wing slant of most of the subjects that Sodahead corporate brings up, it comes as no surprise.

Fox is a propaganda channel, when our country wakes up, Fox will die and not until then.

Is the main stream media, all Liberals, except Fox, a propaganda machine by omission of news when it does not fit their liberal agenda?

I here news about this or that from Fox and other middle of the road smaller news media’s on news that will maybe make a democrat or liberal look bad, which is verifiable, then listen that night to this main stream media and “nothing” not that night, or the rest of the week,…mmmmmmmm.

If Murdock is guilty then someone else will have to be in charge of FoxNews. No need to end FoxNews network. The bad seed just happens to be the "boss" (or is he?), not one of his underlings. Having a corrupt boss/owner does not mean that an entire company is corrupt. Time for a new owner (if Murdock is guilty). If it isn't that simple, I'm sure that there is still a way to keep FoxNews. On the other hand, if the guilty one is an underling, then no problem, fire him. And, what if the guilty one is someone who has no connection to Fox News or one of their employees. Nothing is proven yet.

Love how the lemmings cry, they follow their piped piper George Soros who owns, controls or directly influences so the called news groups like MoveOn.org, Media Matters, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, etc; cry about Fox news. Why does FNC in the ratings blow away all the other so called news group combined, and in every time slot? Is it that the majority of Americans and others around the world are not as smart as the progressive elites. Or is it they see that FNC at least has both sides Left & Right on every day having intelligent debates and not the shrill talk that clowns like Keith Oberman, Ed, the "Tickle Down my Leg Man" and the rest zombies of G. Soros show every day their biggoted hate for America and the Republic. George Soros is a left-wing socialist who in his own words believes "America is the biggest threat to the One world order" that Soros and his cronies want. ** And as for Murdoch he owns a hundred different companies and unless there is a direct email from him ordering the hacks they have nothing, guilt by association is not in the Bill of Rights when you are accused of something someone else does. If that was the case then that socialist scum G. Soros should have been in prison years ago.

Very Good. Most people in the U.S. don't even know about this man, George Soros and his history. He is very dangerous with something like 50+ billion dollars of richness. He wants to take down the U.S. economy to the level of Western Europe and install a One World government as you said. He also wants the U.S. military under the control of this One World government. He has openly said so on TV interviews. Imagine our military under the control of a bunch of U.N. type bastards. Take about abuse and world bloodshed!
