Over a year ago I wrote this post: "What is wrong with you Americans"
http://www.sodahead.com/living/what-is-wrong-with-you-a... Asking and answering why you all are so divided as a people slinging mud at eachother insulting eachother ..
I got attacked by people who only read the headline and not paid any attention to the full text and over the time I have learned to consider that to be normal..
Today I found this video and to my surprise it says exactly the same as I tried to say in that post of 14 months ago..

Voting conservative = voting for regression = voting for poverty and being ruled and drained by the filthy rich Christian elite

    NUFF SAID.

The conservatives have social issues their main talking point and haven't done a damn thing to help this country. F*** voting on a JOBS bill - let's vote on ANOTHER bill restricting a woman's reproductive choices!

Especially the cookie. Voting for conservatives is ridiculous unless you're a millionaire. Even then it's short-sighted. A rising tide lifts all boats. Before the Reagan Revolution, we had the strongest middle-class the world had ever seen, we had a manufacturing base here in the USA and we didn't owe China a dime. Republicans had us convinced that all our problems would go away if only rich people didn't have to pay taxes or follow any rules at all... so we cut their taxes a bunch, deregulated the hell out of everything and it didn't work. So here we are and Pubs are still trying to sell us the same crap.

It is a very good video!

That mudslinging both sides of the US spectrum do time and time again is something that I was wondering to and often asked why.
Even the answers I got ended in a WE-THEY.

Americans may have accepted this as "normal" political discussion,
But we both know it isn't a productive way of a political discussion.

Nothing gets solved and the division bewteen the two political parties gets wider and wider, so will their convictions and decissions.

Americans don't know anymore to work together for the common good.
I really don't know if they ever did.

What I do know is that to find solutions for lot of problems the US now faces making comprimises would be beneficial to ALL Americans.

Yes, I know I have to be on gard if I write words like common or solidarity, or heaven forbid I mention the word social.

Exaggeration on my side: If those US-SH's only see a word starting with co..., or so......, ma.... they really get their pants in a twist.

Sorry. Liberal progressive economic policy guarantees that a poor person stays poor, squashes opportunity, and increases the amount of poor people dependent on government hand-outs. Giving a poor family an extra thousand dollars guarantees they'll remain poor. Giving them opportunity is the only way to break the cycle.

    That is a typical answer!
Thinking that poor people chose to be poor, they like to be poor, they want to stay poor!

That everyone recieving Social Security is abusing the system.
Even more give others the right to take that bit of dignity away of those recieving or applying for Social Security.
Totally ignoring the fact that people, often through circumstances not their fault need to apply for Social Security.

Forgetting also that those that lose their job have often payed tax for the Social Security of others.
    That is not a handout.

Solidarity for others that are in need of help means that those will help you if you are in need of help.
That is something I don't see represented in US society and politics.

Social security doesn't apply. If you contribute to social security you should get it back if disabled/retired, duh.

No one wants to be poor, but the democrats incentivize the poor to remain DEPENDENT on the taxpayer to survive. Those of us with sense believe everyone be given the OPPORTUNITY to become self-sufficient.

If anyone, Liberal, Conservative, whatever, (and I assume you know better that its only Liberals who are poor), are given the tools and opportunities, the vast majority would rather be working and taking care of their families rather than being on the dole. Education is the key, something that republicans don't hold much of a priority for.

It is just another fallacy the Right has when it comes to the 99% of us and justification for their selfishness and lack of compassion for anyone who has been disenfranchised, living in poverty or without work. "Its all their fault".
  • sketchbone Sissy 2012/08/16 12:18:47

Incorrect again. Democratic policy keeps more poor people poor, and creates more poor people through unemployment, and expands the government, a bunch of self-serving vote seeking individuals, pencil-pushing beurocrats, and inefficient government agencies, sucking funding away from private businesses and individuals.

1/2 Black Guy.......His black half could be the cool intelligent 1/2. Maybe it's his white 1/2 that misguides him, like all white Nancy Pelosi. Regardless, crappy policy is colorblind. By the way, thanks for throwing in the race card. You liberals usually do when you've lost the argument. I'm hoping this guy runs for president some day. I'd vote for him in a second. Allen West

The guy you show here was given a choice to either resign or be court martialed.

As far as "throwing in the race card", what else can a person believe when you show nothing but personal, viral hatred for this President and have been doing so for over four years? I detested every minute of GW's incompetent mis-governing, but I never took it to the lengths all of you have. In fact I understand GW is really a very nice guy with a lovely wife and two great kids. He was just in way over his head and totally incapable of leading this country. But the dispicable treatment shown this President as well as his family is beyond all reason and the "race card" is front and center of that personal, offensive, vindictive hate you show daily.

I don't hate the guy. I despise his left wing policies. Many, such as you, seem to be blinded by his race, so determined that he succeed as a 1/2 black son of a Kenyan president, that you'll never admit that he's a failure. He is a failure. Face it. Give me a ticket of Allen West and Condy Rice and I'm voting for it, at least they're the real thing( descendants of slaves). allen west and Condy Rice

So what are you bitching about? This was the "plan" from day one for the republicans, was it not? "Top priority is to make him fail and who cares if the whole country fails with him"? Obstructing, fillibustering, just saying "no" to every initiative or rolling up their sleeves to work on the enormous problems that were largely made by the Right in the first place. Trouble you have is that the majority of the electorate believes that as well.....that he was handed a mess and not given an opportunity for a nano-second from the "loyal opposition" to clean it up.
