Ken 2012/07/10 23:04:30Yes I want Arizona-style immigration laws for my state

The federal government is looking the other way, while the left demonizes any state that tries to protect themselves through legislation. They demonized the Minutemen who volunteered to patrol the border unarmed and help the border control officers. They demonize states that require voter ID while the President, M Obama, and democratic leaders require ID to get in hear them speak.

We have generational ranchers living in fear because of the criminal elements trespassing through their land. We have states that are struggling to provide services to the citizens of thier states, having to cover the cost of illegals in schools, unpaid hospital bills, social services, and the cost of drugs brought over by the illegals and crimes committed once they arrive. If the government continues to ignore the border and look the other way, then states need to step up to the plate. As long as we all have to have some form of identifcation to show police officers, then how is this racial?
What the court ruled illegal was also excellent....the police are not permitted to stop someone on the street and ask to see their papers. And individuals are not free to sue the police for not stopping someone on the street and checking their papers.
Since I live near Chicago, you can probably see why I've got a problem right now.
Our states need to protect US citizens, and enforce the law.
I would love to see the federal government do their job instead of trying to take over my life.
