Visual Dialing For iPhone: Pretty cool, eh?

I'd be a little afraid of accidentally dialing them like I used to with my pre-iPhone cell phones. It's not a bad concept at all, either way. I'll stick to what my jailbroken iPhone has. It's actually very useful for business-minded people, considering it has more features than most PDAs. I'm actually considering getting one for each of my technicians.

It's a nice feature should one want to use it. I love-love my iPhone, had the original and now the 3G and as far as I'm concerned, the other phones don't compare! Any Mac haters need not apply!

specially for people with cognitive disability it will become a good way for those who cant dial number but simply looking at the pictrue of target area and dial that will be a blessing for many including austic kids and adult.

The iPhone and all Apple products are PURE SHIT. They cost like 10 bucks to make (Including the Chinese slaves they have), and they're designed for the technologically retarded. Either learn to use how to use a real phone/MP3 player/computer or GET THE FUCK OUT.

This is just another method that Apple is using to take money from YOUR pocket and out it in theirs. Seems everybody has to have the latest bell or whistle which becomes obsolete after Apple has gotten their share of your money by which time they have another new bell or whistle for you to buy. I'd have to work to care.. I want my phone to make calls, receive calls, have a mailbox, & caller I.D. After that, I don't care. It's a business tool, not a toy.

There were a LOT of steps required to set it up. Better to just select the contact and click one button to put it on the visual dial list. I think it's not ready for the "average" consumer yet.

When the price tag is $20, I'll buy it!! Looks cool, but not very important. Keeping up with hi-tech gagets only makes you POORER!!!

I hate any phones. I hate for anyone to call me and I dont like calling them. I could live without them and be happy! It use to cost $8.00 a month to use a phone.....without a CONTRACT. Signed, A.T.&T.; retired nobody. Sonny, in 1964 they invented something called the Picturephone. Its not a new idea. It was unveiled at the 1964 N.Y. Worlds Fair by A.T.&T.; and Bell Labs. It died a quick death because they couldnt market it to women. Yes women. They didnt want to be seen in curlers, bath robe etc when the phone rang!

Great, that technology is creating options for the consumer. That is what we all are.....Consumers!
We consume, consume, consume.....
I personally, am not much of a gadget whore
(I have my vices, the phone craze just isn't one of them).
I use a phone for basic communication, and even then, prefer a face to face, if the call takes more than 5 minutes to complete (hey, I've got things to do, don't monopolize my valuable time with idle chit chat ).
Of course, I won't knock anything that may lead to technology that I find useful...
I only consume the things I like (I-phones are like brussel sprouts, blah, yuk!)......

When it comes to technology I ride the short bus. So I don't really care either way. I'm using the same phone I've had for 6 years and perfectly happy with it.

I think most people already have. Because of the "contact list" all we have to do is look up the name and it dials the number for us.

I am thinking of all those senior citizens who can hardly see those little numbers on phones least of all dial 10-11 numbers . It would be great for them .

And what about those children that need to call for emergencies because their one parent is haveing a seizure or grandma a stroke?
Heck you could even teach a dog to use one..LOL.

It's not for everyone. There will always be some of us who use the phone for communication and little, if anything else.

Okay I do not really hate iPhones. I really do not even know what they are. I guess I am hold fashioned in the respect of cell phones or whatever. I just use mine for calls and calls only. I do not even use texting on mine nor do I pay to even receive test messages.

having an app that shows custom photos for contacts is not even new. I have it currently on my windows mobile phone. what is the big deal?

This technology looks awesome! To someone who took a programing class in college that taught Cobalt and Fortran, it's like inventing the wheel. I just wish I were smart enough to grasp all of the features phones have when I get them.
