He explains nothing. There's not a iota of proof that the WR operation was working with Mexican officials while Fast and Furious wasn't, especially considering the same agents were working in Mexico at the time. And, to put it further in perspective, there weren't any arrests under the WR operation AT ALL. NONE.

And, under operation WR and ANOTHER probe in 2007, there were about another 200 guns lost in Mexico AGAIN. At least in 2007, Mexican authorities were warned when the guns went over the border, but the Mexican authorities weren't able to do anything about it. They couldn't recover the weapons.

We had to wait until 2009 before the current administration ever tried to convict or indite anyone. 9 lower-level traffickers of guns were finally busted.

After 2009, the effort was to get those working higher up the food chain. In 2010, almost 400 of the guns were recovered and they were still looking to get the big fish in the cartels, but an agent died and then the operation was made public and the terminated. In 2011, there were about 650 more guns recovered, leaving about 1300 guns either in Mexico or the US.

It's not about "oh, they weren't working with Mexico" or " they didn't know they were doing it" it's about "this is a covert operation and the details of which shouldn't be leaked to the public without our say so." That's all that was.

And, the GOP has been touting for quite a while that the scandal is all about taking away our second amendment rights. So, I'm not so sure anyone was set straight, but because this moron wanted to cloud the issues, nobody was sitting there with enough information to tell him he's full of crap.

Well, that's unfortunate.
