Welp, he is not smirking anymore, folks.

Jerry Sandusky convicted of sexually abusing young boys.

[edit: 45 of 48]

A jury has found former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky guilty of sexually abuse young boys, after a day and a half of deliberations.

Sandusky was convicted on 45 of 48 counts, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors, FOX News Channel reported.

A crowd outside the courthouse in Bellefonte, Pa., cheered as news of the verdict was released about 10:10pm.

The 68-year-old was led away from the court in handcuffs wearing khaki trousers and a brown jacket, and did not speak to reporters as he was placed in a patrol car.

Fox reported Joe Paterno's statue was being removed following the investigation. He is as guilty as Sandusky for knowing the abuse Sandusky was forcing on the young boys and protecting him and not speaking out about the abuse

As of July 12 it seems Paterno was more involved in this horrible crime against children than was thought . Fox reported

I heard about that, and it is not a wonder as $$$$ and prestige mean more than destroying boys' lives, that is the travesty.

I see they took his halo off and are considering removal of his statue. He need to be in the same jail cell with Sandusky. the one with no windows or lights so they have to feel their way. they could get real familiar that way

What was so amazing was for many years why this pedophile was given a pass to consort with young boys? There must be a major cover up. Parents ultimately should always be watchful about older role models that they are entrusting their young and vulnerable sons to. Trust nobody without vetting them first.

How does a jury convict a man on 45 counts out of 48 and determine that regarding the other 3, "Nah... I don't think he did those?"

My son had a Little League coach who was finally caught. We never allowed my son to go to practice or games alone because the coach stated he didn't want parents at practice. We were suspicious then and glad we were.

According to this Steve Garban is as guilty as Joe Paterno. He know of the incidents and also others did. I think the whole university should be investigated and have to pay retribution to the abused children and their families. This is atrocious and should never be swept under the rug to protect anyone.
I wonder if those on the site where it was discussed before about Paterno's knowledge of the abuse and so many defended him. Do you reckon they feel like they were fooled into believing he was innocent. He knew and the whole administration, it seems, knew of Sanduskys abuse of children. May they rot in hell

I wish i could have been there when they removed Paterno's statue. I was on another poll when Sandusky was charged with abuse and you should have seen all the people in love with Paterno. I told them then it didn't stop with Sandusky that paterno was just a guilty because he knew and didn't stop it
Been missing you to my girl. I am doing good and you are as beautiful as ever.

So many are languishing in their little world and the world is revolving past them. They live in the past and only know gossip and never bother to find the truth. When confronted with real facts they deny because they literally don't know but will defend the past. This is why so many are ignorant to world affairs and never bother to learn. Sad but true So good to see you Chi.

No I didn't but I want to get a copy. This use of the F word in a magazine is uncalled for. I also believe the coaches should be blocked from courting these players. Allow them to choose where they go if they want to leave. Pressure is not good at this time. ..

I think a full investigation into the Penn State coaching staff is in order. Chances are he was not the only one involved. Paterno knew about it and didn't go to the police. He was equally guilty.
