USA Today Poll on Gun ownership

Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues.. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms. After you vote notice the results. Makes you wonder how Obama and Attorney General Holder can be so out of touch with what Americans want and believe.

Here's what you need to do:

First - vote on this one.

Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published. It’s not a trick question either.

The Question is:

"Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

Click on the link below and PLEASE vote!

I cant believe there are 11 morons undecided and 10 baffons say no. How much common sense does it take to understand the meaning? I guess more than a liberal is capable of having. I will be one of the first to give up my guns if Obama wants, and will start with 1 bullet at a time.

Whether you want to have a gun or not, the Second Amendment gives me the right. What if I want to ignore the First Amendment because I don't like what you say or what church you attend? Same difference.

Absolutely. This administration is attempting to usher in the NWO and take away arms from all law-biding citizens. The criminals, however, will maintain their guns illegally.

    The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves;
that it is their RIGHT and duty to be at all times ARMED; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property and freedom
    of the press." Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. -Thomas Jefferson

My ancestors fought for our nation to be free from tyranny. They had trouble gathering up enough weapons to use in the great battle, because the English denied the colonists the right to possess weapons. King George III was afraid that if the people had weapons they might be able to take a stand against his tyrannical rule. Think back in history to those tyrants who denied their people the right to bear arms. What happened to those countries and those people? If you want to teach your children about America's history, and really make it stick, visit Elftaler.com and purchase both books. Elftaler's The Elves of Preslea' and Elftaler's The Tale Continues. They are amazing. My kids read and I it and retained the very accurate history.

Read the Federalist Papers, particularly Hamilton's 29, to get an idea of how the founding fathers felt about standing armies, militias and individual right to bear arms. Hamilton in #29 specfically calms readers about fears of a standing army with "that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people whiere there is a large body of citizens, little, if at all, inferior to them in disclipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rigthts and those of their fellow-citizens. This appears to me the only substitute that can be devised for a standing army, and the best security against it, if it should exist."

Funny that gun control proponents conveniently ignore the statistics showing clearly that when gun rights are taken away, as in UK, the amount of gun violence INCREASES because only criminals have them. Liberals cant understand why those criminals just wont conform to the law.

Fairfax, VA. – Today, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Texas Governor Rick Perry for re-election in the state’s Republican primary election on March 2nd.

Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF stated, “The National Rifle Association supports Governor Perry because he is a champion and staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding Texas gun owners.”

During his time as governor, Perry signed into law reciprocal or unilateral agreements through which Texans can legally carry concealed handguns in 32 states, and through which Texas now recognizes permits issued by 42 other states. He also signed SB 378 (the Castle Doctrine bill) into law in 2007, allowing Texans to defend themselves when threatened in their homes instead of being legally forced to retreat.

His accomplishments also include signing the following bills into law: extending the term of a concealed handgun license from four to five years; protecting shooting ranges from junk lawsuits; clarifying an individual’s right to carry a handgun in a motor vehicle; preventing the confiscation of firearms and ammunition from law-abiding citizens during a state of emergency; and reducing fees by 50 percent and lowering th...

Perry’s support for the Second Amendment as the incumbent governor has earned him an “A+” rating and the endorsement from NRA-PVF.

“On March 2nd, I urge all Texas NRA Members and gun owners to vote Rick Perry for Governor,” Cox concluded.

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. Four million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.

absolutely yes. eric holder is a left wing liberal communist agitator in an important position in our government. for example yall remember the two black panthers intimidating voters in that inner city precinct and the charges being dropped by the justice department. eric holder is a puppet for left wing liberal communist cause and and rationale they and he use for gun control legislation in this country is the same espoused by adolph hitler as he took control of Nazi Germany and wanted the citizens disarmed so he could seize power.

another footnote. they can take this bigoted redneck hillbillys gun from his cold dead fingers. that is the only way they are going to get it.

As we reported, Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. (R) signed two important self-defense bills into law on March 31. These bills officially went into effect on Tuesday, May 12.

Senate Bill 78 will protect your right to lawfully transport and store firearms in your privately-owned locked motor vehicle while parked in publicly accessible parking lots controlled by your employer or a business you frequent.

House Bill 357 will make it easier for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves without the need to obtain a concealed weapon permit. HB357 fixes the clearly unintended aspect of existing law that makes it illegal to carry a concealed firearm in or on a person’s residence, property or a business under the person’s control without a concealed weapon permit. The bill clarifies and simplifies the currently vague and inconsistent law by allowing law-abiding citizens to choose how they carry a handgun for self-defense (open, concealed, unloaded or loaded) in a vehicle without the need to obtain a permit.

Thank you to all of the NRA members who answered the call to act in support of SB78 and HB357. Without you this victory would not have been possible
