Am I shocked? Not in the least. It seems every governmental agency is doing the same thing, the last one I read about was Social Security. Somethings up!

I also re-posted this yesterday and it is so amazing that our government is so afraid of us. Do they think we are so stupid as not to notice. They had tanks in the streets of St. Louis. The King must be taken down in November.

I posted this one on my facebook yesterday. The government is getting ready for crowd control which means they are preparing for something they know is going to upset the people and perhaps cause and uprising.

Why would the weather service need any bullets? None of this makes much sense!

It makes sense because they want to keep us in our place while taking away our guns.

It makes more sense for the weather service since they wouldn't be sounding off any alarms, that is if it's true

Why is the federal government buying hollow points when they're illegal in war? If they're buying targets, fine. However, wad cutters are better for this purpose.
Somehow there's something not quite believable here.

I wish this underlying article via infowars.com was written by someone who really knew the subject and who had no motive to sensationalize its details, accurately or not.

Bullets are not cartridges. Bullets are only the projectiles. Unless the government agencies are into reloading now or are going to be supplying their own bullets with orders for loaded cartridges, they aren't buying "bullets". They are buying cartridges, which is loaded ammunition composed of case, powder, primer, and bullet.

Bullets can be many shapes, but .40 S&W;, primarily for Glocks, I assume, is available mostly as FMJFP, (full metal jacket, flat point) for practice, or hollow point, FTX, etc. for defensive use. A .40 S&W; pistol is not considered an offensive weapon to my knowledge. AR-15s and shortened shotguns are more for assault situations like drug raids, etc.

All defensive pistol ammo is hollow point or some variation of the concept of an expanding tip. The question is why any portion intended for practice would need to be hollow point. My theory is that it would expose guns that do not cycle reliably with hollow point but rather work better with FMJ (full metal jacket of "roundball"). Practice serves no purpose, if the service rounds won't cycle in a semi-auto pistol. BTW, very few use revolvers, an...&

Law enforcement is not subject to the Geneva Convention or any limitations on what type of ammunition is permitted by international law. Comparing the use of this ammo to a "war" is bogus. Hollow point ammo is and will continue to be standard procedure for both government and civilian defensive use.

good point... but why buy it thru the national weather service? why not just buy it under DHS?

Because there is a grand plan that requires going though all the agencies looking for budget money to spend on the consortium deal to exhaust ammunition supplies and hopelessly backorder it for private use, even for reloading components.

The next move will be to interfere with imported ammunition, popular for private sport and practice because of price. There again, some components are sold for use in private reloading. At a minimum, supply and demand will drive up prices of imports unaffected or indirectly affected by US government orders. There will likely be another run of hoarding ammo, so everything in a practice, sport, or economy grade will be sold out and backordered, disappearing quickly when any not presold becomes for sale.

450 million rounds of hollow point ammo? Shoot, 450 million rounds of any ammo being bought by the U.S. Weather Service is questionable. What are they going to do? Shoot the tornadoes or hurricanes? Are members of the U.S. Weather Service even trained to use the weapons? I really wonder about Janet, Eric and Obama and what they are planning.

And why are the *weather people* buying hollow-point ammunition? Do they expect the "peons" to "storm the gates"?

Don't they realize that they'll have people thinking that maybe the US government really does *make* the weather, as well as report on it?

All the things DHS has been doing shows they are preparing for something very big and bad. I have heard tons of ideas of what might go down. After 9/11, anything crazy can happen. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

They can buy all the ammo they want! I don't need a hollowpoint to get a kill shot in! Who in their right mind shoots at the bulletproof vest anyway, kind of stupid don't you think? All the body armor on the market can't stop a well thought out, well placed shot!
