U.S. Infrastructure Being Rebuilt By Chinese Companies, With Chinese Labor !
I-635 in Texas is being rebuilt with underground tolls from I-35 to I-45
and is contracted to a CHINESE firm for over $5 billion.
Diane Sawyer reporting on U.S. bridge projects going to the Chinese.... NOT Americans.
The
bridges are right here in the U.S. and yet Obama has approved for
Chinese contractors to come in and do the work. What about jobs for
Americans???
Watch this video. It doesn't take long to view.
This one should be tough for the supporters of the current regime to swallow....AND it comes from ABC NEWS
U.S.A. Bridges and Roads Being Built by Chinese Firms
Shocking to say the least! This video is a jaw-dropper that will make you sick.
(It was also shocking that ABC was actually reporting this story.)
The
lead-in with promising jobs in the U.S. by improving our infrastructure
is so typical of our leaders saying one thing and doing another.
I pray all the unemployed see this and cast their votes accordingly in 2012!

Cognito22 2012/07/20 14:19:40Our Elected Representatives Are Not Representing Us !

Although I agree with many of you that this is fundamentally wrong I don't agree about who you blame for this.
The people we elect are supposed to represent our best interests. To often they only represent the interests of who can contribute more to their campaign. People will always lose this battle because we can't match those contributions. Politicians are bought and sold like used cars.
We, as the public have only thing we can do about this kind of behavior. That is to not elect politicians that we know will not represent us. It's mentioned in the comment that we should vote accordingly in 2012. But for who? Mitt was one of the first people that jumped aboard the China off-shoring train. In fact you could say that he was a Beta tester for that type of business model. He made a lot of money by destroying American jobs and recreating them in other countries for profit. Now he want's to lead our country and do what? the same? I haven't ever heard him say anything about making sure jobs no longer move overseas. Obama isn't really the answer either because he thinks that outsourcing whether it's here in our county in the form of Visa's or if...

We, for better or worse have put these people in positions of power. We are the ones that are ultimately at fault for our economy. We have to take responsibility for our actions, putting the blame on others that would profit from our misery is a poor excuse to get angry since we are usually the ones that put people in positions to do this to us.
Road construction will always go to the lowest bidder. If a German or Chinese company can do it for cheaper then you finally understand the true nature of why corporations offshore jobs in the first place.
This is why I cast my vote for "This Makes Sense To Me" because it does. It's not right and I would prefer that these contracts go to Americans but the reality is that it's business as usual.
We should have done that with Katrina. What did we do instead? We gave everyone $2000 (a lot of which was wasted ) and paid Halliburton billions. We ended up with an entire group of displaced poor still with no skills and a company that make billions on the backs of the Taxpayers.
Although the Texas Corridor was struck down, Perry is still trying to find a way to build it. There are still signs throughout Texas announcing the " new I-69 corridor"
As long as people are able to gain some sort of Government cash for themselves they won't complain to much and demand to work instead.
Somebody else made that happen.
That is even addressed in the video about how these firms were awarded the contracts simply by the Federal; funding taken out of the equation. federal laws were sidestepped in order to make it happen so don't even try to claim the Federal govt. has no say in the process.
Where's Eric Holder when you need him? Oh.... that's right, he's runs the Dept. of Just-Us.
We have the b!tch on the ropes and he's going DOWN. August will be the worst month of his life.
He's not satisfied with outsourcing thousands of jobs overseas and $Billion$ from the so-called stimulus package ...... Americans can't do anything on their own so he has to award contracts on our soil to his buddies in China & Meyhico.
Seems the closet full of shoes are on the other feet and 0bozo has beeen outsourcing thousands of jobs overseas with Billions of taxpayer $$$ from the stimulus package.
In addition, we have Chinese firms being awarded contracts to build bridges in NY & CA that was supposed to be American shovel-ready jobs,
Here's some of the indisputable facts that can be verified by going to the WH website showing where the "Recovery Act" dollars went and how they were spent.

Tracing Obama's Overseas Investments
Electric Cars
Obama handed over billions of dollars in loan guarantees and stimulus awards pursuant to his goal of putting one-million electric vehicles on the road by 2015. Much of that money ended up leaving our shores. A $2.4 billion stimulus program to support battery production sent nearly half of its money to foreign firms, including two South Korean companies that used their awards to hire foreign nationals in Michigan to do work that Americans easily could have done. In the end, despite all the money Obama handed out, electric vehicle sales have lagged and The Washington Post deemed his goal of one million electric cars "overly optimi...

Wind Farms
Obama's stimulus included over $8.5 billion in grants for wind farms that flowed overseas, despite Congressional criticism from both sides of the aisle. In total, over half of the money went to either foreign developers or foreign wind turbine manufacturers, creating thousands of jobs overseas with money that was supposed to create jobs within the United States. Even worse, hundreds of millions of dollars went to wind farms that began construction before the stimulus was passed. The end result of all this spending: the wind energy industry lost 10,000 jobs last year.
Manufacturing TaxCredits
As Obama was doling out over $2.3 billion in clean energy manufacturing tax credits that were supposed to create jobs in America, $880 million went to foreign firms. Worse still, some of those same recipients are now closing up shop and shipping jobs overseas.
Loan Guarantees
Remember Solyndra? The problems with Obama's loan guarantee program don't end there. The largest recipient of Obama's program to jumpstart green energy projects was the Spanish Company Abengoa, which took in $2.7 billion in loan guarantees for three of its projects. Other projects importing foreign-made solar panels are, much in the same way as Fisker Automotive, choosing to make their products overseas.
ABC and Diane Sawyer aren't exactly beacons from the right wing.
