US Imam: ‘Disregard First Amendment’ Replace With Sharia

☆ QueenAline 2012/09/22 13:55:16
A New Jersey Imam has come out in support of disregarding the U.S. Constitution in favor of instituting Sharia law.

Mohammad Qatanani, an Imam of one of the largest New Jersey mosques,
said that anyone that criticize Islam was a direct threat on our
national security. He
believes this so strongly that he thinks anyone that speaks ill of
Muhammad should be investigated by the Department of Homeland Security.

The Blaze reported on an interview with Qatanani:

“We, as Americans, have to put limits and borders [on]
freedom of speech,” Qatanani, leader of the Islamic Center of Passaic
County (ICPC), told TheBlaze. He explained that while Americans
may ”have the freedom“ to speak their mind, ultimately, they “have no
right to [talk about Muslim] holy issues“ as it will incite ”hatred or
war among people.”

Qatanani said he thinks agitators who slander Islam, or, more
specifically, the Prophet Muhammad, incite violence and hence, pose a
national security risk that threatens the safety of Americans at home
and abroad. Thus, America should disregard its First Amendment
as it is typically applied and instead act in accordance with sharia law
for the ultimate “good” of society.

“They [Muslims] think our [American] freedoms are too much,” Qatanani
said. “The freedom of the American people is so different from their
[Muslims'] freedoms. We believe freedoms have limits and rules,
otherwise we will get people into trouble…Freedom according to Islam
must be according to the Quran and Sunnah. You can do [anything] you
like within the teachings of these two resources. This is the difference
and main reason [for the conflict].”

Honestly, I think the Imam and the rest of the Muslim world needs to
grow a thicker skin. As a bible believing Christian, I have one. I
have to have one.

If Muslims don’t have a thick enough skin to deal with mockery or
criticism without resulting to violence, or as the Imam said, becoming
“a national security threat” then perhaps they should find another place
to live, such as the area where they might feel at home with burning
things and blowing up thing and killing others. Frankly I believe they
need the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I can’t force it on them, nor can I
use the weapons against them to convert them.

The interesting thing though about Qatanani is that he was nearly deported in 2008. According to NJ.com,

Qatanani, his wife and three children are facing
deportation for his alleged failure to disclose a 1993 arrest by Israeli
authorities on his green card application. Israeli military officials
told the Associated Press he confessed to being a member of Hamas, a
known terrorist organization. Qatanani denies the charge.

He’s
also in the process of suing several federal agencies to force the
release of any records that could bear on his ability to remain in
America.

He is also admire in his community among many that are non-Islamic and even New Jersey Governor Chris Christie calls him a friend.

In the end though, Qatanani, must submit to the law of the land and
that law is not Sharia. If he would like to live under Sharia, there
are plenty of nations that have that law. America is not to be governed
by Shariah Law, but by the Constitution.

Get ready folks, we are getting ready to put an end to this insanity...If it's Sharia law they want, they need to leave this country NOW.

Let's just apply a little logic to this problem:.

Why would mocking or insulting a guy who died 1400 years ago be a threat to our national security?
Who would be upset and harm our nation?

If the answer is "Muslims", then doesn't that mean Muslims are a threat to our national security.

I say we keep our freedom and loose the Muslims.

I'm all for the freedom of religion until it starts sliding a hand into politics. If that is the case, cut if off. Muslims want to live in peace then I suggest they quit shoving their religion down peoples throats or making any demands in a country they don't belong in.

Many nations have learned the problem of letting religion run a country or have to much power. The Inquisitions, the witch burning, on and on. But some have not learned and seem to not wish to learn that is sad :(

With the Muslim loving Ø administration rubbing elbows with the Muslim brotherhood, I won't be surprised to see them enact some kind of restriction on our First Amendment rights.

As for that knucklehead that wants sharia, I agree, he should move to Iran.

If that is what he wants, let him go back where he came from. his is the United States of America not the United States of Islam. We follow the laws set out by the constitution and the congress not by some religious zealot. He should feel honored to be living in a country that allows him to even speak of these things. If he spoke against the government of his religious leaders in his mother country, they would execute him.

C'mon Arizona..you know third party candidates are not going to win....and don't get me wrong....I hope by 2016 we do establish a third party...It would be good...but this time around...you have two choices.

I will be voting ... I have every intention of voting ... I just won't vote for the same direction. There is a 3rd person on the ballot and his name is Gary Johnson. If you don't support him now you will have no complaints later ... so difficult to see the difference in the ideology of the Obama or Romney supporters ...

Afterall ABOs ... must like the Patriot Act? Both Obama and Romney do
They must like the NDAA? Both Obama and Romney do
They must like bailing out banks ... Both Obama and Romney do
They must like mandated healthcare ... Both Obama and Romney do
They must like TARP .. Both Obama and Romney do
They must like wars ... Both Obama and Romney do
They must like globalization ... Both Obama and Romney do
They must like the shredding of our Constitution ... Both Obama and Romney do.
They must like liars ... because both Obama or Romney will give them the same policies and direction.

So who is the real Obama supporter ... a Romney fan!

The only way he will lose is by those who will vote the status quo. He is on the ballot in all 50 states ... so he was in fact nominated just not by the GOP.

Tell me if Obama was off the ballot and it was between Romney and Johnson who would you vote for then ... ?

This isn't just about the First Amendment, it is also about censorship. We cannot go there. We are already doing too many things that major powers have done before that led to their downfall (not keeping up the infrastructure of America is one). Take one right away, it wil start a domino effect.

Sharia law is a barbaric step into the Middle Ages. If Muslims prefer to live in the past, they need to go there alone. They still must have their panties in a wad that they were unable to completely release their bloodlust against western culture and/or Christians. What other assinine reason could any group of people want to practice archaic, inhumane, and irresponsible codes of behavior? Well, I suppose they could just be stupid, but I think it's all about revenge, immaturity, and too much money too fast for a backward culture. They are acting like 10 year olds on the playground. Destroying their own property over a film trailer they haven't seen proves they're incapable of rational thought. The Imam and those of his ilk are on a path to destroy western culture and are trying to use our laws to work against us to insert their own. Our Founding Fathers were smart enough to adopt a Constitution that can defeat their nefarious and anti-western exploits. What remains to be seen is whether Americans can retain our country's principles against these interlopers. The election and support of Obama in light of his exploits and incompetence proves that many Americans are pretty stupid as well, but are they stupid enough to throw away our Constitution?.
