Both internationally and domestically, “the greatest violator of human rights in the world today is the U.S.,” Flounders said in a phone interview with the U.S. Desk on Tuesday.
“The Occupy Wall Street movement is the latest example of what has happened again and again to political movements in the U.S.,” she said
She cited “mass arrests, demonization in the media, criminalization of young people who are simply asserting their right to speak and to assemble” as some examples of human rights violations committed by the U.S. government.
The U.S. has yet to respond to two United Nations human rights envoys who formally requested that the U.S. government protect Occupy protesters against excessive force by law enforcement officials.
The rapporteurs' letter to the State Department described how groups of peaceful Occupy protesters were forcibly removed from their encampments in various U.S. cities, including New York, Seattle, Denver and Oakland, Calif., last fall.

2) Press TV is Iranian state TV. Terrible source.
2-in last 100 years how many military coups has been accomplished by USA in south America?
3-how many military bases have USA around the world?
4-how many Weapon Factory has USA?
5-at least ./.35 arms around the world is supplied by USA.
But to compare our errors to the planned and intentional crimes of the world's worst dictators is ludicrous.
