I don't know where to begin to say how dumb that sounds.

First, all the negative attention/publicity they are drawing to their school for even making such a pronouncement.....

Armed robbery, rape at gunpoint- those are the sorts of activities that many frat boys partake in. These aren't model citizens or responsible adults for the most part. College students with guns? Please! I teach these people- I know that most of them are better off without guns. Leave the guns for the true adults.

An analysis by the University of Colorado shows that 0.6 percent of the faculty, staff and students on campus possess a [concealed-carry permit] CCP. A full 96 percent of CU-Boulder undergraduate students living in the residence halls are under the age of 21, and are thus ineligible to have a CCP. Of the 4 percent of eligible students, about half living on campus are CU Resident Advisers, or “RAs,” who as CU employees would not be permitted to live in undergraduate halls and possess a CCP. No, that began in a dorm and two hours later he went ballistic through numerous classrooms.
Plenty of prior warning signs which is why VA Tech was found liable in March of this year. They had two corpses on their property and did NOTHING to alert the rest of the campus.

"Media reports say Cho may have been suffering from depression, and that he left behind a lengthy note in his dorm room that was filled with grievances.

Classmates say Seung-Hui distinguished himself on campus by being anonymous.

They say that on the first day of a British literature class last year, students took turns introducing themselves. When it was Cho Seung-Hui's turn to speak, he said nothing.

The professor then looked at the sign-in sheet, and noticed that Cho had written a question mark instead of his name. The professor asked, "Is your name 'Question mark?"' A classmate, Julie Poole, says Cho offered little response.

She says he then spent much of the class sitting in the back of the room, wearing a hat and seldom participating. Poole says, "We just really knew him as the question mark kid."

While details emerge in the investigation, administrators at Virginia Tech are being subjected to some second-guessing over how long it took to get out a campus-wide warning in Monday's shooting rampage."
