The most often noted difference between American elections among the visitors was that in most U.S. states, voters need no identification. Voters can also vote by mail, sometimes online, and there's often no way to know if one person has voted several times under different names, unlike in some Arab countries, where voters ink their fingers when casting their ballots.
The international visitors also noted that there's no police at U.S. polling stations. In foreign countries, police at polling places are viewed as signs of security; in the United States they are sometimes seen as intimidating.

But americans should be required to provide ID
(and I'm Vision Impaired/Blind .. )
(Hey, mine knew me from my Military Service .. we had a GREAT LAUGH about me showing an ID!)
Ohio has that requirement ,they ask for a valid driver license and or a utility paid bill in your name.
So it is a state decision .
And it should be mandatory for all states
I know that the argument against Voter ID is that it is racist. I don't think the UN is wrong on this one though...
Holder was quoted as saying, "some are genetically unable to vote"...?what?
Why didn't he just say "they're illegal Mexican's who don't have papers?" *smh* and that in itself voided the argument. The opponents cannot even intelligibly argue against it!!
There is no good reason NOT to show photo ID!
They actually check your ID before voting.
I thought liberals thought the world was cool but the US was crazy?
