+12How's that stimulus workin' out for ya? Or those "green jobs"? They worked out great for his bundlers and cronies. But not for the rest of us. Not for those who have given up after one rejection slip too many.
There are hundreds of examples I could give but these two will suffice.
Example an employee starts to work on the 11th of June and on September 12th they call off sick. Even though it is out of the 90 calendar day probationary period, also the time when benefits and vacation/comp time begin to accrue. An employer can twist the numbers and justify terminating an employee for excessive absenteeism.
Another example is that an employer can terminate an employee for poor production and get away with it, even though the material/information/resources that the employee has to work with are flawed.
What the United States needs is for there to be tighter reigns on employers to retain employees instead of jetasoning them when they get close to a pay raise time or getting benefits that the company has to pay in to.
Goddess forbid that an employer should have to make a contribution towards benefits or
make vacation/comp time available.
Maybe if President Obama were to find a way to encourage employers to retain instead of terminate, we would all be alot better off.
Yes the economy has slowed BUT IT IS STILL GROWING> The cause, The failure of the Republicans in the Senate to vote to approve cloture to allow debate on thejobs bills from the House to pass a jobs bills program established in over 12 of 60+ that are waiting in the Senate.

Funny you should mention Reagan... although Reagan inherited HIGH unemployment (0bama 7.8%), out of control inflation (13.5%!!) and a misery index it has taken 0bumbler 3 years to match, there is no comparison of the 2 Prez's.
Reagan slashed taxes and within 2 years had the GDP OVER 8%. He got unemployment down to 7.2% by election day WITHOUT pulling a smoke and mirrors trick by pulling people out of the calculation just to make the unemployment numbers fictitious drop. Obama has 40 STRAIGHT MONTHS of unemployment OVER 8% with accounting tricks to boot!
