I really do not think there are any undecided voters. Everything is pretty much in place for the election. The debates are pure and simply entertainment and watch who trips. Undecided will probably not show up. Independent voters will and they are not all about Obama . Just look at the middle east on fire while he is late night TV attention. Hard to believe that the middle east has that many American flags to burn. Think about it

    So what?

It's not like any social media outlet is worse than any other form of media.

The information on any social media site, such as SH, can be skewed one way or the other (extreme right in the case of SH) or be fairly unbiased and impartial.

All one has to have is common sense, listen to as much information as you can, and make a decision based on what you've learned.

Scary because only limited intelligence and education would be influenced by the garbage being thrown about by the liberal media. When did critical thinking disappear? America cannot but lose when this concept is no longer a reality. This is what is truly 'SCARY.'

Can't be any worse than the bought and paid for mainstream media. For example the National Defense of America Act (NDAA), the act that allows the federal government to indefinitely imprison American citizens without a trial or even charges, was found unconstitutional in a federal court this week and an injunction prohibiting its use was handed down by the judge. But rather than obey the court order Obama went to an appeals court and asked for an emergency lifting of the injunction. When asked whether or not the government has used the law to actually imprison reporters or others the fed refused to say. As a test see if you can find ANY news story regarding the NDAA ANYWHERE in the main stream media. I guess locking up American citizens without a tril or access to an attorney just isn't important in this election.

I understand that it's unrealistic to expect all of the overworked masses to find spare time between days at the office, carting the kids around, and trying to keep the household from falling apart to have time in their busy schedules to do any real research on politics, but that being the case I'd rather they stay undecided. I mean, realistically speaking hardly anyone actually does any research. They pick their biased news source (I don't think there's an unbiased one out there) and believe what it says about politics, and vote whatever seems best based on the information they're given. I don't know many people who actually go to the campaign websites and see what these people are about, then google the history to see if they walk the talk.

Then again, if you've got time to find out what a Kardashian is, and ESPECIALLY if you have time to CARE about what a Kardashian is, then you really should be using some of that time to get better informed. Sure, you might find celebrity gossip interesting, and I won't fault you for that even though it's not my thing, but politics determines what kind of world you live in. Why would you want to leave that sort of thing up to everyone else in favor of following the antics of whatever pop stars are "in" right now? It takes maybe an hour to...

It takes maybe an hour to get a good idea of what the two main candidates are campaigning on right now, and maybe an hour or two more to compare that information to their political history. This is why Wikipedia exists, to make research quicker and easier (and if you want it verified, check the credibility of the sources linked at the bottom).

There are quite a few of us in the rural counties among the potato patches, lodgepole pine forests, elk and bears.

The liberals are pretty much along the I-5 Corridor and along the Columbia River but there seems to be more of them than us until maybe we stop mail in voting and start inking our fingers when we vote to keep us from voting twice. Meanwhile, I suspect there are some people there voting multiple times.

Best to ya'll there in Georgia. I lived at Fort Benning with my Dad back in 1968 and started high School there in Columbus.

It is no more scary than the influence of corporate media (tv, radio, print) on the vote. I think it is a good way to get our citizens involved and activated in the political process. Too many people have been disenfranchised - we need better voter turn out and more citizen involvement. Social media can be informative with people sharing legitmate news and thought provoking opinions. Ooops, the click marked me wrong - did not intend scary- glad this isn't an important vote :)

The media has played a major role in influencing voters since the "KENNEDY/'NIXON DEBATES & CAMPAIGN !! There are people who choose a candidate by their looks, personalty, wealth, PUBLIC OPINION, media opinion !! I knew several of my coworkers back in the late 1980's that voted for baltimore city mayor for the most pitiful reasons ever imaginable !! The women voted for KURT SCHMOKE because "he is so cute"............had no idea what he really stood for in any subject!! DUH !! The men voted for KURT SCHMOKE because he was so smart (harvard educated), so young," HE MUST HAVE SOME GOOD IDEAS", Don't know what they are, but they are probably better than an older persons ?? The first thing in office he CLOSED a city school that had "ACCELERATED ACADEMIC EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS" (eastern high) FOR A PARKING LOT !! Saying I don't have DAUGHTERS, so it got closed !! That "in a nutshell" says it all !!
