No one saw this coming. The UN has chosen Iran, of all countries, to help negotiate an arms treaty with the rest of the world. Is it a crazy idea -- or does it kind of make sense?

FOXNEWS.COM reports:
Barely a week after accusing Iran of supplying arms for Syria's bloody crackdown on democracy-minded rebels, the UN has given Tehran a key seat at negotiations for a global arms treaty.

Makes perfect sense for the U.N.

Remember they are an organization that has made Libya the head of the human rights committee, has presided over every major genocide in the last 50 years and despite worldwide blooshed they reserve their worst outrage for Israel.

The U.N. is a symbol of everything that is depraved with left-wing geopolitics.

Putin is for peace. The bottom one needs to understand we are on small world, and that saving his soul is a good idea seeking peace with whoever. The second one down on the list wants to be at peace. The top one I don't know that much about.

Crazy like a fox--We'll just see how this all plays out. This is law of the pack. Iran is not the Alpha dog it thinks it is. Let the scrapping begin. I'm putting my money on Germany, Sweden, Japan, So. Korea--maybe some on China, but they are way sneaky, so maybe not. You can't make too many backdoor deals and expect to win the dogfight.

To have a dog fight means unstable minded dogs not seeing the world as their pack. Humans need to see the world as their pack. That is how everyone must be being forgiving even as Jesus is. That saves the soul.

I have been thinking, and you are right,They have not shown an signs of repenting of being what they are. Therefore they still are what they are. I have asked them repeatedly to grind the Kaaba, and building they bow to to powder, and they have not done that. They will kill a human of their own religion wise enough to destroy the Koran. I recant my last statement for the UN to deal with Iran unless the Iranians show they are not worshiping that Book or the other man made strictures, and do not worship a non living stone. They must publicly annihilate all of them including the Koran that instigates their violent behavuior, and publicly humble themselves apologizing for all of the killings they have done to gays, and other sexualities, and the 90 - kids they killed because of a hair cut they thought looked demonic, and I am sure of a long, long list of other killing they have done to
humans. Then, and only then should anyone consider dealing with them l. I would be happy if all the weapons were rendered inert not explosive destroying all of the nuclear weapons, and all military weapons.

But then again so is the UN. Syria is running a candidate to head the UN's human rights commission. RIght is wrong and up is down in that organization. That pretentious stuffed suit Kofi Annan is the definition of failure. When I noticed he was destined for Syria to investigate human rights abuses I figured Assad would feel comfortable killing his own people for a long time. Just watching him on TV I can't help but expect him to look into the camera and break out into a shout: "Live from New York, It's Saturday Night".

It gives an anti-weapon mindset to the country that would benefit most from it (with the possible exceptions of the U.S. and North Korea, but neither of those will ever happen).

The United Nations continues to expose itself as a tool of brutal dictatorships when it comes to spreading peace and freedom.
Meanwhile, incongruous appointments take place with alarming frequency at the UN, and include Syria’s appointment to a UNESCO human rights committee last fall, and Saudi Arabia’s earlier appointment to the board of the women’s rights agency UN Women – despite laws in the Arab kingdom that don’t even allow women to drive.
