Sorry, they told me that birthday cards with such a high number as 50 are quite unusual !

    *lol*
    Just kidding, my friend !
    Have a great one ...

I'm 4 mos. away and it won't be a big deal. I think 40 was worse and I think 60 will be worse.

    Turning 50 was a piece of cake...literally.

The difficult one was turning 30 and realizing that I could no longer trust myself....*smile*

Just a little more aches and pains, less head hair, more ear and nose hair, maybe the start of cataracts...oh, and your first AARP invitation!

Happy 51st coming up. Now this is a bit belated for the 50th.Just a warning, you do slow down a little after 50!

Age is all relative; my parents are 53 and 56 and I don't consider them to be old at all. I think that you're only as old as you feel, and everyone's got something to offer; so I'll treat you with the same respect whether you're five or five hundred.

I used to think so, but as I get closer to it, I don't see it that way anymore. People can be beautiful at any age - Rene Russo (54) and Pierce Brosnan (55). Wouldn't guess their age was actually over 50 with the movies they've done and the way they look. So it's no big deal - age ain't nothing but a number.

Not for me, but I would put money on it that my older
sister is going to have a hissy fit come June when she
turns 50. She has hated to see the decade change come.
I am just thankful that I have lived as long as I have.

When I was younger I never really thought about getting older as being a problem or anything. I just figured being the down to earth person I was, that I'd handle it alot better than others (my mom) whom I've seen/known. I always said I'd grow old gracefully and never have a face-lift or anything. But now I'm like, hey! What happened!? lol

My husband is turning 50.(three weeks).i think because I am 10 years younger he feels it more..but to me..men just get more interesting and better looking as they get older..it is like they come into their own..and do not give a crap what you think of them..for they finally like themselves....

so here's to fifty guys..it looks damn good on YOU!

Actually turning 30 bothered me more than 40, 50 or even 60. It's like a good wine, just keeps getting better with age. (Wonder when I will turn to vinegar???) lol
One good thing about turning 50 is that many places allow you a "senior" discount!

I have already passed that milestone and without a scratch!! Look at it this way, it is better than the alternative........ The best way to handle this is to think young and act young. I will be 65 next month and my son and daughter have told me that when I grow up, we are going to have a problem. The secret, as mention, think young, act young and you will feel young. Believe me. I don't feel my age at all...........
