Meghan McCain speaks out against the wrong direction that the GOP is taking by allowing themselves to be taken over by extreme, far right talk radio voices. For this, she is called a fat valley girl by Laura Ingraham. This type of language isn't very notably denounced by many Republicans.
Lisa Murkowski shows enough backbone to reach across party lines. For this she is called a RINO and targeted by Sarah Palin and other far righties in an attempt to oust her.
Chris Christie puts the well being of the people of his state before party politics and works with the President to recieve support during the whole Hurricane Sandy ordeal. For this, he has been viciously attacked on and off this site. Imagine, a politician actually showing care for the people he represents....what an evil man!
And now we are seeing tea party-like wing of the Republican party now spewing insults on a man of honor like Colin Powell. A man who has so respectfully served this country. A man who represents the American dream in his successes.

Politicians working across party lines is what we need to solve the problems facing this country and the conservative extremists are doing everything in their power to stop that.
