A great musical tribute to the brave Americans that died in Benghazi and an indictment against those that let them die.

The whole thing is just disgusting. We placed Ambassador Stevens on a very dangerous assignment with no military protection, and failed to support the three brave soldiers who saved 30 lives at the State Department mission, and later killed 50 attackers at the CIA safe house about a mile way. We have three major military bases within two hours of Benghazi; these men could have been saved were a special operations gunship sent in (the fighting lasted four hours). One very senior commander, General Carter Ham, decided to disobey Obama and send in the life-saving support - he was relieved of his command WITHIN 30 SECONDS, and his order to send support was rescinded by the "powers that be."
The simple ugly truth is that if Obama sent in help, he would be admitting that his "nation building" in the Middle East led to Islamic theocracies, since the host nations of all the US consulates and embassies that were attacked in September didn't send in police when the attacks occurred. So Obama simply chose to let the victims die to protect his political reputation, falsely blaming the attacks on a cheap anti-Islamic film rather than what it really was - planned terror that the host governments approved of. I admit that in some cases, after the fact, the attackers were arrest...

I admit that in some cases, after the fact, the attackers were arrested by the host governments, but never before they finished their assaults. Obama would rather see our overseas State Department officials and soldiers DIE before doing anything that might hurt his public image.

This is just so sad in so many different ways..
There were no brave soldiers killed in melee. The other three people who died were CIA agents, all were members of his diplomatic mission, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and U.S. embassy security personnel Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Woods and Doherty were ex marines, hired specifically by the CIA, (hired guns) for Stevens security detail. They knew, after serving in the Marines, there were risk in that area of the world. They chose to get paid well for their job and assume all rish associated with their new found positions.
There were not 30 American lives in the compound only 7, including the now dead 4. There were not 3 military bases within 2 hours of Benghazi, only one which is in Italy and only that base could be included if a gunship was sitting on the tarmac ready to go with all personell on board and briefed with their engines running.
Even if all the above had been in place and the guship was flying overhead two hours later it would have been too late. Stevens and the others were pronounced dead in the hospital they were taken to an hour and a half after the skirmish started.

Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were Navy Seals, and Sean Smith was a programmer in the military. They WERE brave soldiers killed in melee, and were not CIA agents. They did not work at the mission building where Ambassador Stevens was being attacked. They went to save him, but Stevens had already been kidnapped. The three soldiers did however save about 30 other people who were trapped in the building.
The US absolutely could have protected Doherty, Woods, and Smith after they left the State Dept. mission building and went about a mile to the CIA safe house. At the safe house they killed about 50 attackers, but were simply outnumbered, and were being hit by mortar shells. Woods was on the roof of the CIA safe house, and had a laser pointer with a GPS connection to point at the mortars. Were the military to send in a Special Operations Spectre Gunship, the laser could communicate the exact coordinates of the mortars to the gunship via satellite, and the gunship could have taken the mortars out with ...

I know Stevens could not have been saved once the attack started, but the three soldiers who were killed might have been. And had Stevens' numerous requests for security before the attack began been granted, he too might still be alive.
The blood of Stevens, Doherty, Woods, and Smith are on Obama's hands.
Sad, the government put policies first, and refuse to help them..That is the saddest.
The family want answers..I don't blame them.
Thanks Doofie, Love the song....Keep this story alive...
Out of respect and because this links them to some heroes of another war.
"Battling Bastards of Bataan" and the "Battling Bastards of Bastoge".
"They are all mixed together". Those were my thoughts the first time I saw Arlington National Cemetery and I thought it very fitting.
Skip the protestations and denials, it would be just like 0bama and his birth certificate.
