Many will say September 11, 2001. The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:
* Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;
* Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983;
* Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
* Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
* First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
* Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
* Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998;
* Dares Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
* Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
* New York World Trade Center 2001;
* Pentagon 2001.
(Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide).
2. Why were we attacked?
Envy of our position, our success, and our freedoms. The attacks happened during the administrations of Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2. We cannot fault either the Republicans or Democrats as there were no provocations by any of the presidents or their immediate predecessors, Presidents Ford or Carter.
3. Who were the attackers?
In each case, the attacks on the US were carried out by Muslims.

Ever since President Obama released the Bush-era torture memos, torture has been the hot topic for political pundits. There seems to be at least four groups of people regarding this issue:
1.) Waterboarding is torture. Torture is a crime. There are criminals. Criminals need to be prosecuted.
2.) Waterboarding is not torture. Go ahead, waterboard me!
3.) I'm not going to take a stance on waterboarding, but can't we just forget about the past? (Basically, someone who deep down believes in the first three sentences of #1, but doesn't want the fourth sentence to happen)
4.) I can't choose whether it's torture or not because if it is, I can try to accuse the Democrats in Congress of knowing about it but if it isn't, then it'll protect all those Republican officials under Bush.

How can you protect your children from terrorist bombs? As worried as I am about the terroists - Obama is doing more damage than any of the terrorists can do. He is bringing us down from within. Can you imagine having a bill that is 1500 pages?? No one is reading it?? We are throwing our country away - no we are not throwing it away - it is the elite in Washington that is destroying it. These people are supposed to be working for us. They could care less about us. They are living high on the hog, they will have their huge pensions for the rest of their lives and the rest of their spouses lives - at OUR expense. We should demand that they go on the same ridiculous health plan that we will have. WHY should they have better health plans than us? What makes them so much better than us? We chose them to protect us and work for us. They are so out of touch with the hard working people of this country!! Their perks are beyond compare. Why do they keep giving themselves raises no matter what condition the country is in? It should be 'the people' that vote if they get a raise or not. We need to vote ALL of them out!! I hope everyone is going to their Tea Parties. The MSM is not reporting on how successful they are becoming.
