Do you really think anyone is interested in how much money tort reform will cost us if the health care bill goes through? We don't want the blasted thing! Period!

Hummm---reforming the medical malpractice insurance system-----Well lets see--IF a Doctor,Nurse ETC DON'T have any claims in say a 10 year period then MAKE the CARRIER liable for the Malpracitice policy they have to carry AND in the event then of a claim also liable. My Heart Doc over the last 20 years has paid many MILLIONS to an INS.Compaly--and NO CLAIMS---YET his prem. keeps going up.
Cap WHAT the LAWYERS can get from any Medical lawsuit---YOU start at the PROBLEM--the Lawyers and INS.Companies--BOTH are GREEDY!!

Another thing one of MY DOCS brought up was this--Defensive Medicine cost everyone a bundle of money---ID those who are repeat offenders--Mulit-Claims--AND REMOVE them from MEDICINE---WEED out those who are incpmpetent----Doctors,Nurses ETC!!

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Douglas Elmendorf said this is response to the revised healthcare plan submitted by President Obama a week ago: “Preparing a cost estimate requires very detailed specifications of numerous provisions and the materials that were released... do not provide sufficient detail on all of the provisions.” IN OTHER WORDS, NO ONE IS REALLY SURE EXACTLY HOW MUCH THE “NEW AND IMPROVED” OBAMACARE WILL COST! THE ESTIMATES HAVE RANGED ANYWHERE FROM 1 TO 6 TRILION DOLLARS. Yet, Congressional leaders want Congress to blindly pass this monstrously bad bill.

Having worked in the medical field for half of my life, I know how defensive medicine dictates and controls modern medicine. To blatantly disregard tort reform in any healthcare reform proves how dishonest this debate even is. Control is the purpose and lawyers are a huge part of what needs to be reformed, not healthcare.
