Our troops are in harms way, Muslim extremists will use any excuse to keep it so.
I'm not fond of Mr. Jones methods but if he upsets them enough to do some hate crimes here maybe the liberal sheepole will wake up to what they're inviting into the country.

artin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke with Pastor Terry Jones by phone on Wednesday and asked him to withdraw his support for a film whose portrayal of the Prophet Mohammad has sparked violent protests - including one that ended with the death of America's envoy to Libya. "In the brief call, Gen. Dempsey expressed his concerns over the nature of the film, the tensions it will inflame and the violence it will cause," Dempsey's spokesman, Colonel Dave Lapan, told Reuters. "He asked Mr. Jones to consider withdrawing his support for the film." U.S. military officials are concerned that the film could inflame tensions in Afghanistan, where 74,000 U.S. troops are fighting. The Taliban earlier on Wednesday called on Afghans to prepare for a fight against Americans and urged insurgents to "take revenge" on U.S. soldiers over the film.

The alternative is for us to obey the Islamists and shut up.
We certainly should leave Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc.--not because of some homicidal insurgency, but simply because what goes on in those countries is the business solely of the people who live there.

The oath they take includes the words "...uphold and defend the Constitution..." and that includes the First Amendment right to free speech. The right to free speech is the bedrock from which all of our other rights spring. No entity, governmental or otherwise should ever have the right to restrict it! That right was wrested from a tyrant at the cost of more than 10,000 American lives and eight years' worth of hardship, deprivation, and, for some, the loss of nearly all they owned. In the 237 years since, hundreds of thousands more have died to maintain it. Millions more have fought to preserve it.
Protecting freedom of speech isn't an option if you enjoy living in a free country. The loon on a soapbox at the corner is entitled to proclaim his or her own stupidity and ignorance at the top of his or her lungs. The cost is simple: you have to be willing to sacrifice as much to defend the speech of someone you loathe and despise as you would for yourself, without hesitation, without qualification. I'm truly appalled at and disgusted with those who think it only deserves protection when it's their speech or when it supports a point they agree with.
No anger. Just "my duty"....totally insane
