Thursday, June 2 is the day that traditional Christians recognize as the moment Jesus physically ascended into heaven. Ascension Day symbolizes hope for many believers. Do you count yourself among them?

That are some of the benefits of serving abroad. Having a day off when in the U.S. people have to work.

Thank you for that acknowledgement. I'll thank you to stop telling everyone else so dogmaticaly that their beliefs are myths. I don't think I'll comment any more on this question, since, I'll bet we have something in common. I'm getting sick of this guy's constant singing! Have a good day anyway.

That's OK. Most churches don't observe it. There's no rule about observing it either. But you're welcome to with a special prayer or praise! I believe anything we can do to keep the life and work of Jesus Christ forefront in our mind is a blessing.

rising from the dead and ascending into heaven were to different events. he spent 40 days presenting Himself to different groups, continued to teach the Disciples, prepared them for Pentecost.
